I'm glad this is actually a good beer by Cigar City. I might buy a couple 6 packs.

Oh god that sounds so good. Love 3 Fonteinen

It really is one of, if not the best beer in that style that I have ever had. Extremely well balanced from start to finish.

In search of some Cantillon. Onward and upward.

The 40 year old Old Grand-Dad Saturday was good. We had cocktails (old fashioneds, Manhattans, Boulevardiers) but 2 of my friends just drowned it in coke. Idk what the proper response to that is.

As regards Compari..A Negroni is one of the worlds great cocktails
My favorite cocktail. It's a shame that campari isn't too common in bars. And half the time they have it, they're missing sweet vermouth.

Cheap Spanish red that I had with chili con carne. Probably not acidic enough for the chili.

Finished off a bottle of Balvenie 21 I forgot I had. Only enough for 2x2 fingers, but yummy. Was a nice surprise to find it when I was digging the crock pot out of the corner cabinet. I have no fricking clue how it ended up down there. Might have been hiding it from my cousin early last year lol....

Now quenching my thirst with good old skinny bud.

Finding a bottle you forgot about in the back of the cupboard is better than a $20 turning up in the laundry.

Back in my hometown. Having a Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Stout that my dad had picked up even tho he doesn't care for beer.

Solid stuff.

SHOPPER"S ALERT!!

Costco (in AZ at least) has a unique Lagunitas variety case. I couldn't find a pic on Google to embed, sorry.

It's 4 individually wrapped 6's in a case tray. It contains:

Super Cluster Ale
12th of Never Ale
Daytime IPA
Lagur - Limited Release

Hard to believe but I've never had Super Cluster until today. Wow! That's a Top 10 maybe Top 5er for me. I thought it was a lighter Citra ale in the 5% range. That's 8% of heaven rot dare!

I've had 12th of Never plenty of times before. Super solid.

Haven't gotten around to the Daytime or Lagur yet. The Lagur has a lot of fans though so I'm looking forward to drinking those during pool time tomorrow.

I'm usually not crazy about session or "all day" IPA's though Founder's which is a great pool beer. I'll report back on the Lagur too.

* Oh snap, forgot the important part... Got the cases for $16.99! Costco's craft cases almost always start at $24.99 and go up to $32.99. I picked up 4. First 6 of Super Cluster is almost gone!

Prairie Pirate Bomb. Incredibly boozy but Damm good, the rum shines in a way that it didn't for Pirate Noir a few years back. Would buy again and love to cellar it.

What is everyone's opinion on the recent Sweetwater 420 Strain hemp flavored line? I'm a huge fan of the original 420 Ale, but was pretty meh on the first 420 Strain. However, I recently tried their Mango Kush Wheat Ale and I just had their 420 Chocolate Stout and both are excellent. I especially love the Mango Kush ale, it's amazing. My only issue is that it makes the whole room you drink it in genuinely smell like you have a big bag of weed on you. I don't mind the smell, but I know it's not for everyone so I usually only drink it when I'm by myself. Only beer I've ever had to do that for.

Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest, probably my favorite style of beer. Shame it's a seasonal style.

Lagunitas... Little Sumpin. Great flavor without being overly "hoppy".

7.5% ABV

Cheers and Go Irish!!
