What are you drinking?

Any other IPA drinkers feeling IPLs lately? This Jack's Abby Hoponius Union is killer. Is this a trend happening outside Mass?

Founders (in Michigan) makes a damn good IPL. Dissenter, I think it's called. Definitely worth trying if you see it.

A lot of West Coast breweries have them as well (The Bruery Humulus Lager, Ballast Point Fathom, Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Hoppy Lager, etc.).

I haven't seen too many IPLs around here. I'm starting to see some Belgian Pale Ales though, and the ones I've had have been both strong and good

I got some Paulaner Original Munich and also Paulaner Hefeweizen this weekend. Both were delightful. Couldn't decide which one I liked more.

So far today,
Stone Citrusy Wit, Stone IPA, and Stone Ruination 2.0
I am not a fan of the Citrusy wit and find it to be pretty average. Stone IPA and Ruination 2.0 are very good as always. Sometimes I get so busy chasing the newest beer that I forget how good some of the readily available beers are, this was a good reminder.

Picked up a Stone Bastard's Midnight Brunch to have this weekend.

Just finished a major project so time to relax with a beer.

Bell's Hopsoulution DIPA. I really wasn't impressed with this beer the first few bottles but it is growing on me (especially when drank straight from the bottle), has a really nice grapefruity bite. Probably would now rate it about 86-88. A good to very good beer.

Macallan 18yo 1991. I really enjoy the treacle, leather, oranges and the hint of balsamic.

From last night Lagunitas IPA.

Talked to the bar manager at the new place in town, he has Bell's Oberon and Mango Habanero Oberon ready to put on as soon as he gets a line. Will be the only place in town that has Bell's, kegs or bottles. He also has a keg of Surly Bender ready, also the only place in town that has it.

I might frequent this place often because they will have the best beer in town.

Tell me about this

Well it's a coffee IPA. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not. But it's pretty good. Coffee is definitely there on the nose and in taste. Actually pairs pretty well with the hops. I'd recommend this to try at least. Probably not something I'd drink a sixer of but I enjoyed two.
