The West bracket is the biggest crock of shit I have ever seen.

It should read:

1. Alpine
2. Russian River
3. Stone
4. Kern River
5. Bruery
6. Deschutes
7. Societe
8. Ballast Point

If you ever have the chance, get Nelson. It is my favorite beer on the entire planet.

I knew there was someone else singing Alpine's praises! Sorry. When I saw Duet on the menu, I was hoping I'd see Nelson too but alas, no such luck.

I would easily put Victory and Flying Dog above Dogfish Head in the east. Both put out a more consistently good spread of beers. Also, IMO, I've never had a home run beer from Dogfish, nothing on the order of Victory Dirtwolf or Flying Dog's Gonzo. The best I've had form Dogfish is Bitches Brew, which is about a triple for me. (I know, lots of baseball metaphors when we're talking about a basketball-inspired bracket).

Virginia is also known as "Old Dominion." The store where I get my beer here in VA has a "local beer" section and Old Dominion beer is one of those "local" brews. I wonder if anyone has read the small print and noticed that Old Dominion is actually brewed and bottled in Dover, Delaware? My hometown, incidentally. It makes me chuckle whenever I see it.

Generic Super Tuscan. Not bad but not great either. I'm eagerly awaiting my Sunday evening cheese and wine pairing.

How is it?

Blind Pig last night, Pliny tonight. Had some Salvation a few nights ago.

This version is very good, not the best version I have had but definitely worth getting.

Have you tried any of Russian River's Sours (especially Supplication, Consecration, or Beatification? I think RR makes the best Sours out there.

No, was going to get a flight and dinner at RR one night but it never worked out. Definitely thought about trying some sours though.

Earlier Sierra Nevada Kellerweis after watching my children's tennis lesson. It is almost full blown summer here, 91 in the shade and mid 90's in the sun.

Now some Stone Enjoy By 4/20/15. Yummy. I also love that it came in 6 packs this time.

I had some Black Butte Porter from Deschutes last night. It was good enough, maybe a little too much chocolate flavor. I like my porter a tad on the dry side.

Last night was Muncie Gras and they just happen to have recently gotten Oberon back on tap at my favorite bar downtown so I had LOTS of that. At one point I drank an entire glass in like 8 seconds just so I could go watch fireworks with my bosses. Yeah.
