Even in the best beer cultures in the world, the average person has terrible taste. (IMO)

Seriously. Even in Belgium, the Mecca of beer, a sh!tty Euro Pale Lager is most popular. It's tempting to blame the power of marketing, but the universal popularity of macro lagers indicates otherwise. Depressing.

Talisker 18. I love this whisky and it makes me sad that the price has gone through the roof (a few years ago I was buying it for $70 and it is now $150+).

Made some shot mix of Kool-Aid pouches and Smirnoff Vodka. Two flavors: Kiwi-Strawberry (which is green and perfect to make up St. Patrick's Day with the friends tomorrow night) and Cherry.

Just had 4 of them!

If you like that sort of stuff, you need to make some Yucca:

1) Pour a bottle of vodka into an empty milk jug
2) add a cup of sugar
3) add lemon and lime slices
4) let sit overnight in fridge
5) shake it up and drink

Or my favorite way to consume vodka that isn't straight in a glass with two olives:

1) cut a hole in the top of a watermelon
2) put a plastic handle of vodka in the hole
3) put in fridge and let sit overnight so watermelon soaks up all the vodka
4) eat it and get wasted
*This makes a sticky mess that isn't rivaled, so do it at a friend's house

You would love Schnozberry. Two gallons of Tampico, add a little Kool Aid and a handle of shitty vodka. You will feel awful afterwards though.

I really only did the Kool-Aid mix because my brother brought over a crap ton of Kool-Aid pouches that he didn't want even though he seriously bought like 8 boxes of the stuff. So I bought some vodka to make it a party.

I've heard of the watermelon, not the Yucca though. I'll have to try it.

No shitty vodka for me, thanks. haha

Hard to hear that, if you need to vent or just get stuff out, pm me... I'll even give my number if it helps...

Anyway, on the thread, I'm a bargain shopper, so when I saw rolling rock at 6:50 a 12 pack I was sold...

I tried Bell's Two-Hearted Ale for the first time on St Patrick's Day (I know, not an Irish brew, but I had Redbreast 15 and Harp earlier). I really liked the Bell's. The store nearby has it in 6 packs, in addition to Lagunitas Night Time It's going to be tough to cut back on my drinking and save money like I'd planned.

Doing a local brewery...Latitude 42, IPEH, a great IPA. Grapefruit, citrusy flavor with a malt finish. Normally I don't like malty finish but this is great. Also tried tried Shiner, White Wing. A wheat beer that may be filtered a touch too much. Not bad though.

Depending on when you opened it, that could be a good thing. They generally should be finished in 24-48 hours after opening.

You're right, and I had full intent on finishing it today. Just makes me sad that I won't have more Bulldog Brown this weekend. haha

Having a Riserva from Sardinia. Can definitely tell it was aged a long time in Oak. Slightly different than what I normally get with my go to of Chianti Classico, but my only regret with this bottle is that I don't have a nice piece of red meat to pair with it.

Hot damn this is good. Super aromatic. Highly recommend. Drink in small glasses though.

Shorts brewing, controversiALE. A great IPA. Also picked up Double Down Barley whiskey from New Holland brewing. A very nice whiskey.
