Yup. Make the mitten, tip of the pointer finger. Honestly I'm surprised we get as much good beer as we get. But when we miss out it bugs the shit out me.

Haha, yeah we've got lots of woods and water but no Valentines Enjoy By .Your location says near the D. Depending on where you are from the D i'm about 4 and a half hours from you. I'd love to buy you a beer at our one bar that has good beer if you ever get up this way!

Just got home from a long night of work to a fridge barren of staple brews. Faced with the choice of teetotaling or dipping into the reserves, I reached for one of these guys:
Kind of an odd beer, with the tartness of a farmhouse followed by chocolatey flavors that one expects in a stout. Neither bad nor exceptional, simply unique. Time to restock on Hopslam and Expedition Stout, though.

This past weekend, went to a few new bars in my area and had some good beer.
Had a Bell's Two Hearted, a couple Left Hand Milk Stout Nitros, and Boulevard Brewing Co.'s Pale Ale.
Not a bad beer weekend at all.
And I'm still sitting on this Enjoy By 2/14. Might have to open it tonight and watch my recording of Better Call Saul.

Went to Karl Strauss Brewery for dinner as it is close to the hotel. I had:
26th anniversary Belgian Strong Dark Ale aged in casks for a year
Off the Rails
Off the Rails is drinkable but not good
Belgian Strong Dark Ale was very oaky and bourbony with some nice plums and figs. Overall very nice for the price.
