Nice.
Has anyone had the Deschutes winter seasonal? Jubelale, I think? Saw it in the store the other day and thought of trying it.
Lol yes, this is just why I didn't try the Jubelale ... only six packs, no bombers! I almost always get bored of a beer before I get through even half of a six pack, and then I end up with a graveyard of loose bottles that just accumulate in the back of my fridge. Bombers are a way better way to new beers.
I have had Jubelale, and it is a pretty good Winter Warmer if you like that style of beer (I am not a huge fan of the style). To me not really worth a six pack. Some fruit, some spice (nutmeg, clove, a little cinnamon) hints of earthy hops.
As to the second part I have a local place (Total Wine) that has just about everything available as a single so you can buy just 1 12oz beer to try and the prices are generally reasonable (about a 50 cent mark-up so if you can get a six pack for $9, it is about $2 for one 12oz) which makes it really easy to try new beers.
