Last night had a 7c's Session IPA from Bare Hands. A great summer beer. Lighter, but still a classic hoppy taste. Very unique.

And then a pint of their staple, ThaI PA. So delicious!

Whenever any of you are in South Bend next, you have to go check out Bare Hands Brewery in Granger. It will not disappoint!

I went out to wish a co-worker a fond farewell last night and had some Auchentoshan 12 year. It's a pretty good scotch, well-balanced and not too peaty. Their 3 wood is very good stuff, but you'll pay for the privilege (something like $55-$60 retail). Part of the fun is trying to say the name right, and seeing the confused look on bartenders faces while you say it. I swear, the bartender last night looked at me like I was making up silly-sounding brands names just to f*** with him.

SO I bought my 30 of 'beast' and was looking forward to killing some tonight... but now I'm sick and it may be sitting there for a while...

What a week.

A beer I found in the local store called Cuvee Van De Keizer Blauw (dutch for Blue, there is also a red or "rood"). It's a Belgian Strong Dark Ale that reminds me of St Bernardus but still different.

I really like this beer. I have had 3-4 different vintages of it.

A thread to post what are you drinking at the moment. Maybe it is beer, whisk(e)y, wine, etc. Lets us know what you are imbibing and what you think of it.

Funny you should ask. I just got home from Southern Home Brew in Tampa where I had a delicious meade something or other. Delicious.

Hop Odyssey India Pale Lager - Widmer Bros.

Shockingly good. Nice IPA kick and not too "balanced," which is a naughty word for me. Impressed.

Do the words on the bottom indicate the vintage of this one?

Have you had the red?

The vintage should be stated on the neck label. Unfortunately I have not had the red. If you try it let me know what you think of it.

Do you mean "Devil's Cut" by Jim Beam? I haven't tried it, but I'd believe it would take over a year to plow through that, like other Beam stuff.

yes, i was a little intoxicated last night. Devils cut in my opinion was terrible. The sad thing is i bought it for a bachelor party and it didn't get drank over a year ago. To be truthful the commercial sold me on it. Even if you mix it that stuff is tough to choke down.

Brought my buddy a bottle of High West Rendezvous Rye at our monthly poker game on Friday. Best Rye I've ever had (thanks pkt). Highly recommended. Really cool bottle, too; an uneven bottom and lots of air bubbles in the glass gave it an "old western" feel.

Put back some Don de Dieu and Old Stock Ale, too. And I won the game. Great night.
