I've been addicted to white russians lately. And by addicted, I mean I want to be able to get away with casually drinking them all day long. Snap, back to reality.

A bomber of Ballast Point Dorado DIPA

This beer just did unspeakable things to my taste buds. I am not sure they will ever recover.

S: starts nice on peaches, orange, grapefruit, and pine resin with some other bitterness thrown in.

P: Starts nice on grapefruit and pine, then a huge bitterness hits (too the point that I can't pick out any flavor other than pure bitterness) and then it finished on grapefruit juice, pine, and lemon peel.

How is it?

It's a great beer, one of my favorite IPA's. Not your typical IPA (by west coast standards), but great nonetheless. Unfortunately only available in Michigan though.

Its so funny how much I've turned into a "hop head" over the last few years. I feel like I should go to a clinic to be able to taste things that aren't so strong.

My wife decided to try infusing vodka with serrano peppers. I like vodka and I like spicy. We'll see in a few days if the combo works out.

Exactly my thinking. Stuff that used to sting the palate is now just bland. I think I've injured a few taste buds.

I was hoping to evoke the anti-meth ads:

A "this is your tongue; this is your tongue on hops" sort of thing. Though the fact that I'm having to explain ithis indicates that I failed miserably.

Maybe we can work it out in trade. I've got some sleeveless flannel shirts I'm looking to get rid of.

Hahahahahaha... well played. Have any coupons for Birkenstocks too? Just to sweeten the deal.

I've got a few Rye of the Tiger's that I plan on getting into tonight.

It is a pretty good beer. They call it an IPA, but it seems closer to a combo of IPA and Strong Ale. Lots of bitterness, a boozy malt flavor, some Italian spices, pine and mint.

I prefer their Northern Hemisphere Harvest Wet Hop Ale.
