Had a couple of these tonight.

I don't know what it is about Guinness, but it's the prettiest beer I've ever seen when poured correctly.

I'm with you there, just a great beer.

Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA now for me.

Nice, I'm a fan of Ranger...and a lot of other NB beers actually. How do you like it?

Whole bunch of Miller Lites and Bud Heavys on the golf course for me today.

I have had it from the bottle before and thought it was good. On draft it is a little better but not something I would normally buy. I perfer my IPAs with lots of citrus and tropical fruits and some piney notes. Time to dig a new IPA out of the fridge now that I am home from dinner.

Caldera IPA.

Not a great IPA but it is solid. Though I am drinking it from the can it came in, the nose has some citrus and pine. Taste is citrus, pine and malt with some grassiness. Might make a great summer brew.

It's Hop Shock tonight. Nice beer. Solid IPA. Dragoon IPA earlier, which is amazing.

Last night it was Lagunitas IPA then Rogue Juniper Pale Ale. The IPA was solid. The Juniper berries made the Rogue something to get used to, but by the end of the first glass, it was alright.

That sounds like a cool experience. Wine certainly keeps me on my toes. It feels like the ground is always shifting under my feet; just when I think I've got a good handle on things something pops up to let me know just how much I don't know.

It was a great experience. I think I know a fair amount about wine, but the gentlemen I mentioned have forgotten more than I will ever know. Evan Goldstein was actually the youngest MS since its inception until I believe someone just surpassed his record.

Good thing about my career is I have some 30+ cases of wine in my collection.

It is about time for me to buy a couple of easy drinking summer whiskies.

My usual summer whiskies are
Glenlivet 12
Old Pulteney 12
Evan Williams Single Barrel
and then a Rye whiskey, which the past two years has been High West Rendezvous but I am thinking of going with Willet Single Barrel Rye this year.

St. Bernardus Witbier.

Huge smell and taste of coriander and lemon. A very nice witbier but not worth the price of $4.50 for a bottle (11.2oz I believe).

So you are saying that we are corrupting you? If so, you are welcome.

Either that or enlightening me! It's a lot easier for me to try a beer that I've heard someone on here speak highly of over one that I've never heard of.

Completely agreed. My favorite wit, but the style is too simple to justify that kind of price.

Got a bottle of Russian River Blind Pig from a colleague who just returned from Cali. Can't wait to try it.
