Ballast Point Pineapple Sculpin - Yeah, it's good, odd that I never tried it before. Didn't care for the Grapefruit as much as the original but this is better. Getting some Watermelon Double Dorado this week in a care package.

BURN'EM Brewing Ryeght On Rye IPA. I really like this. The opposite end of the spectrum from the Sculpin. Dark and spicy. Perfect for a cool night and a fire pit. Great little joint in Michigan City, IN halfway between 3 Floyd's and Bell's... 30 miles west of the Dome.

Burn'Em has a good little thing going in MC.

Yeah they do. The kids are artists. They come up with so wacky stuff. Cream Corn Ale and Dark Side of the Moo are a couple of favorites.

They have a blood orange In. H. Ale that just came out in casks. Will be getting some soon.

So I've had bronchitis for the last couple weeks. Feeling good today so I decided to go crazy. Today I've had in order...

Alchemist Heady Topper (This came to me as a real surprise.)

Uinta Pit Stop Kettle Soured Apricot IPA- this was an amazing beer. Best sour IPA I've ever had. The apricot is amazing.

Wicked Weed Ferme de Grand Pere- one note but really good.

Prairie Pirate Bomb- Wow. This beer had zero head. Couldn't even create one through agitation. Didn't smell rum either. But that first taste. Wow! You can taste the rum but not as boozy as you'd think. Coffee is strong. Very smooth for 14% Thanks Zelezovlk! Really glad I got to try this.

Victory Sour Monkey- pretty good. Drew a bad position in my tasting. Worst beer I've had so far today. But still pretty good. Very sour, yet the Tripel still comes through.

Prairie Phantasmagoria DIPA- Outstanding nose. Could've smelled it all day. Taste was just ok. A little thin.

Great day. Drinking Founders All Day IPA until I inevitably pass out... Soon.

That is quite the crazy day. I will say a prayer for your liver.

We recently did a brewpub crawl. Started there, and then hit a few places in and around Benton Harbor.

PKT, will you check out this brew list and tell me what you think I should try for? The link to the list is on the right.

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium - Beerfeast 2016

I only see about 18 beers on the list, am I look at the right one?

Here are the my thoughts on the ones that I have had (and one that I haven't had but a few friends had):
Not really a fan:
Ballast Point Barmy: Not really a fan, very average
Alaskan Heritage Brown: Ok, a coffee brown ale if I remember correctly. I am not a huge fan of Browns so that may color my opinion. I remember being glad that I was splitting the bottle and not drinking it by myself. Strong coffee flavor.

Maybe:
Avery Pump(KY)n 2015: I haven't had it (I don't like Pumpkin beers) but a few of my friends who do like Pumpkin beers have had it and say that it is pretty good, they they complained about the alcohol burn and that it was overpriced. Maybe try if you like pumpkin beers
Alpine Nelson: A very good beer but if you can regularly get it at your stores maybe not worth trying at a festival, though of course it is a high quality beer. Otherwise would be in the Try category.
Avery Liliko'i Kepolo: I am not a huge fan of this beer but many people are, if it is warm there like it is here, it could be a nice refreshing beer on a hot day to break up the other beers.

Try:
Green Flash Blanc Tart: They list it as an Alpine beer but I am pretty sure that it is one of Green Flash's Cellar 3 series. An interesting beer, a sour blonde ale aged in red wine barrels. If you like sours worth trying, definitely not an amazing sour but a very good sour.
Alesmith Evil Dead Red: I love hoppy reds so this is in my wheelhouse. Not a great beer but a very good hoppy red with some nice citrus and caramel malt. If you don't like hoppy reds feel free to move to the maybe or not really a fan category.

* I had the Avery Xolotl once but it was after a few other large beers, so it was hard to gauge. I remember some bourbon barrel and spiciness but not enough to really critique.

**Alaskan Perseverance is listed as an IPA but the only Alaskan Perseverance that I am aware of was a RIS. So :whoknows:

I am not sure if that was helpful at all, sorry.

So...they keep having issues with that list. The other day it was full, yesterday it looked like they removed about a dozen beers or so (but kept most of the good ones), but yeah, like you I now only see 12. It was full earlier, so I'm not sure.

I could've sworn they said that they were having Avery Rumpkin, which I've had before and I thought it was very good, and I normally don't care for pumpkin beers.
I've seen Alpine Nelson in town twice and bought it both times, I didn't see it on the list earlier, so I'm glad you pointed it out.
The Avery Hawaiian beer I'll pass on, because I've been finding it here.

I'll make sure to try that Green Flash beer.

Earlier they said that they had Stone Xocoveza from 2014, would that be worth trying?

There are others that appear to no longer be listed, like several IPAs from Brash (one of the best breweries in Houston, from what I hear).

If I can ever find the full list again, I'll pass it along, but right now you've given me a great starting point. Thanks!

I don't understand, but the full list is back up. Looks like it comes and goes.

I am in the middle of a project right now, so I will throw out a couple that look/are good quickly:

Try it:
Boulevard Rye on Rye on Rye
Deschutes The Abyss: Awesome beer.

Stone Xocoveza is a good beer and it could be interesting to see what happens to the spice. Probably not a must try though.
Stone Bastard's Midnight Brunch: A very good beer but it wasn't very well integrated when I had it earlier this year (age probably will help with that but not sure, so it might be better now).

I really enjoy The Bruery Tart of Darkness: The first Sour Stout that I ever had. Not the best sour out there but if you haven't had a sour stout before it is definitely a try.

I haven't had the Boulevard Stout X: Coconut but I have heard that it is pretty good but you must like the flavor/smell of coconut as it is pretty strong.

Cascade Sours: (Kriek and Apricot are probably the 2 best of the 3 listed), they make good sours.

Goose Island Lolita is solid but not great, not sure if it is worth drinking compared to others (unless you like raspberries, then do it).

Firestone Walker Stickee Monkey (barrel aged quad) probably is worth trying, I haven't had it but I haven't had a bad barrel aged beer from FW yet, the worst of them has been a solid A-.

Deschutes Black Butte XXVI: A very good beer, that might be worth trying but there is definitely better beers on the list. Kind of falls in the no man's land.

Odell Pina Agria: Another pretty good beer but not really special. I probably would pass in this type of setting.

I wouldn't waste my time with:
Oskar Blues Priscilla or Hot Box
Left Hand Wake up the Dead or Okto
Dogfish Head beers (120 minute and immort)

Time for me to get back to work. Hopefully this helps.

Had some Deschutes PineDrops IPA...Ehhhh

I believe I'm getting tired of over hoppy IPA's and the like.

I did have a bottle of Elevation Apis IV..which was one of the best beers I've ever had

I was hoping to make it out to Jester King this weekend before I leave for Rome, but this weekend's release is made with kombucha. No fucking thank you.

Breakside Wanderlust IPA. I managed to bring this back from the PNW with me. Pretty good, very light malt with some nice citrus and dank hops.

Shorts Brewing Black Cherry Porter. Also picked up Dogfish Head 120 minute that I will save for 2 weeks, drink before Miami game. There are so many good beers out now it is hard to drink them all. Had some....5....Ballast Point Dorado a week or 2 ago along with some other beers. Didnt realize they are 10% ABV, work was tough the next day.

Got back from a trip to Disneyland late last night. On my way out of Anaheim, I stopped at a BevMo! to pick up 5 bombers of Allagash: 3 x Curieux, 1 x Dubbel, and 1 x Trippel. Wish they'd start distributing to Arizona...

Having a bell's Octoberfest at Tap house on edge or something like that. Enjoyable.

Had some beer from a brewery in Michigan City as well and enjoyed it
