Going off of Rhodes' evaluation, has anyone had Great Divides Hercules Double IPA?

Tonight I tried Great Divide's Titan IPA. I feel like I had heard decent things from someone at some point, and I wanted to try something outside of my usual rotation. But, um, this tastes like what I imagine the water in my dishwasher tastes like at the end of the cycle. I'm going to give the rest of this six pack to a homeless person on my way to work tomorrow.

I have had both Titan and Hercules before. To me they are ok (I)IPAs. In particular I find them to be very malty with a fair amount of pine and little citrus. Also I rarely can find them recently bottled, usually they are 3+ months old by the time that I see them here which doesn't help.

Ah just wondering. Hercules is $3+ per bottle and I didn't want to buy any until I heard an opinion.

That is a very nice list.

What do you think of Bell's Oracle? Also what does it cost there for a 6 pack?

This is probably a fairer and more accurate description than what I gave. But not my cup of tea, as it were.

Titan is far to malty and sweet for my taste. I'd drink it before I'd drink a Budweiser, but not before I'd drink nearly any other IPA that comes from Denver. They do have a wicked cool tap room though.

ETA: As pkt said and I read after I posted, there is little to no citrus. I'm a citrus IPA fan, so Titan is far down on my list.

Awesome. Not as good as Hopslam but close and different. I want to say 16 for a 6 pk so you pay for it but I can't recall exactly.

Also, some good reds and local whites

It is time.

Cigar City Good Gourd... THIS, is a good pumpkin beer, great way to start the season... everything is there as it should be without anything getting overpowered.

I need to find that Cigar City Nare Suga out here... still haven't had it and as JJ Grey's biggest west coast fan I have to eventually get me a bottle.

I had two bottles of it and I enjoyed it but I found the price tag a little to high as it was $18 for a 6 pack.

It was better on draft than from the bottle but still not as good as I wanted it to be. Sometime I feel like these releases suffer because of such high expectations.

This dynamic should forever be known as the, "ACAMP Sucks!" effect...

I'll own it, and it actually works on so many levels... lol

I'm hopping on the pumpkin train soon. Don't have a lot out here yet but have some I want to try in Denver next weekend.

Well it's official. I start the new job on the 29th. I should celebrate tomorrow or something and get me something decent.

I might just need to do that. I'm leaning towards bourbon.
