The Stone Bastard's Midnight Brunch?

If so, yes I had a bottle right after it came out. It was good but not worth the price, though it may benefit from some aging (I found that the certain flavors dominated and it didn't feel balanced).
Having said that it was still enjoyable just fell short of expectations based off of price and it being a Stone product and a little time in the bottle might have helped it.
Oh sorry, yes that's the one I meant. I can definitely sit on it for a while if you think it will help. Thanks for the tip. Heading to da U.P. today eh. Hopefully can try a couple new breweries.
Aging might help but I think even the 3-4 months that it has already gone in the bottle might have helped it (I think I had mine 2 weeks after the release).
If you get to try some new breweries let us know what you think of them.
Upper Hand Brewery UPA. I made the mistake of thinking this was gonna be an IPA from the U.P. It's an American Pale Ale and not a very good one.
Ore Dock Brewing Reclamation IPA. This is a pretty good beer. Not on par with top IPA's but plenty drinkable.
What I had last week:
Live Oak Doppelbock
Live Oak IPA
Live Oak Lichtenhainer
Taillinger Brut. Damn good bubbly.
Merlot.
Prosecco.
Then I went to a friend's place and he had me try all of his home brew beer. He makes good stuff. Sadly he's moving to Philly to open a brewery. Good for the people of Philly though.
Lots of Shiner Bock.
512 IPA
512 Strong Ale

There are a few two buck chuck Merlots out here I actually really like... Tisdale is one, it's priced like a total throw away wine... But it's def more than drinkable and great for the money...
I sometimes buy Smoking Loon Merlot for $5 or $6. Not bad for the price but nothing special.
Why the Merlot and Red Blends? I'm having a blend right now. Decent, but I prefer dryer and more tannic wine.I've had that, enjoy it... My wife likes CupCake
I really only like Merlots and red blends (non sweet) zelezo...
The only reason we ever have white wine is for guests or cooking...
I didn't know if it was a particular characteristic that you were searching for. That's just what I enjoy/what suits me...

Ah I getcha.Ah,... My bad, been a tiring week,... I like dry as already noted,.. medium to light tannic, I like smooth, more fruit... I also don't want it to be overly bold... Anyway, Merlot is typically a wine I can rely on... I can def enjoy a Malbec for example but it's far more hit or miss... I tend to lean on Merlots and dry red blends...
Have some Rober Mondavi Private Select Merlot right now... It's another decent, cheap red we get here and there...
I'm going to have a night that the poors would approve of.
Bud light cheladas. Rex Rooster or something like that.
And last but not least....a watermelon Four Loko
