Welcome Incoming Freshmen!

I just wanted to welcome the incoming 2016 class, who should all be moved in by now. I'm pumped to see what these players can bring to our team, and even more than that, I'm excited for the journey they're about to undertake for the next 4-5 years. College is one of the best parts of anyones life, and to do it at ND is even better. It makes me think back to my first day and that unreal mixture of excitement, giddiness, and nervousness that can be overwhelming. It's good for these players to know that we support them. Welcome to the ND family, kids!

Now, as for football, who does everyone think will have the most impact this year, and also throughout their career in general? I was looking back through the players and it's crazy how talented these kids are.

For me, I think Elijah Shumate and Jarron Jones on defense will get reps from day 1. On offense, I know we're all pumped for Neal, but I'm excited to see what an under the radar type (if a consensus 4 star RB can be such) player like Russell can bring. I'm just overall pumped to see the great playmaking potential on offense and more speed and size on D. This could be a huge class going forward.

I completely agree. All spring Day showed what a beast he can be. Him and Jones are two studs just from this class that I'm thinking could make an impact, but yeah... I think Day will get the most PT of any freshman on defense. Love it.

I agree. I think Neal is just perfectly suited for BK's offense. He'll show that from day 1

Kiel, Prosise, Turner, Baratti, Okwara, Neal, Jones

Turner does look like a DOG backer more than a S, Okwara looks almost same size as Jones which would mean DE for him

I'm anxious to see what numbers they all get when those are released. I know for the most part numbers are important to a player, as they even were in HS, so I know they have to be anxious too. Especially to see if Davonte gets his #3
