I don't think I made a prediction yet...

Notre Dame 33
Clemson 19

I just don't think Clemson is that good. I think we will give up a couple big plays in the air early but we methodically maul down their defense with the run game and win big. I think we will see sloppy kicking on both sides.

Getting more confident as the week goes on. I think ND blows these guys out now. 3 scores

I'm going to say 32-17 Irish.

I think we see a lot of read option type plays as special package for Wimbush as well since he's the better runner. Our strength is the OL, there's no way we try slinging it around a bunch with a young qb against their experienced secondary.

A lot on this board seemed to think we would lose to GT, now we all seem to think we will beat Clemson fairly easily. That's not a comforting feeling.

I think that was due to our recent history against the triple option.

Clemson hasn't played a physical team like ND. I believe the Irish dominate throughout by controlling the LOS.

I'm going to go with Irish 23 Clemson 17

I agree that I don't think Clemson is good as people are putting them out to be. But I do agree that they have a lot of talent on defense, and I expect them to load up the box and try to force Kizer to make throws. And with his inexperience and a loud environment that worries me. With that said I think that Watson is going to spend so much time tomorrow on his back that he may be filling out applications for their local whore house on Sunday. I think our OL/DL wears them out and we come away with the W.

Mike n Mike: Galloway-think he picked Clemson, Carter-Clemson, Golic-ND, Greenie-Clemson

No respect at all. I agree with comments re: Dabo making Kizer beat them which he can do. LOS is owned by Irish.

I heard their segment, cited the fact that Clemson consistently wins 10 games... I'm telling you, no one gives a shit how you win them or who you beat... all they remember is how many games you won... that's cfb respect.

Just yesterday Galloway picked ND....must have seen the tweet about tigers liking rain.

I could be wrong about Galloway, but I thought I heard it was a clean sweep for everyone besides Golic. Galloway was asked the prediction and talked for like a minute so I might have missed it, but I could have sworn he picked Clemson.

Actually, I might be mistaking his prediction with 'which of these two teams are most likely to make it to the playoff', and he definitely said Clemson for that because they have an 'easier road'.

31-14 in a statement game.

This game is over as soon as they get in their short bus and lap the stadium.

I hope Wimbush plays.

Here's my game day prediction:

No chance that ND wins this game. DeShaun Watson is much more of a refined passer than Kizer. He's going to be able to withstand the elements and make plays with his arm and legs... enough to keep the chains moving and Clemson scoring. Kizer won't be able to handle the crowd and will miss a lot of throws (the ones he hits will be drops because our WRs excel at everything but hands) and we'll keep going 3 & out and giving Clemson great field position... or turning it over. With no threat of the deep ball, Clemson will load the box and the slow turf will hurt our ability to break big runs.

Clemson goes into half up something like 24-0, and then ND stages a bit of a comeback in the better late game conditions before ultimately losing 38-21. Everyone on here freaks out and calls for Kelly/BVG's head.

Wait. Lax, you have us staging a come back during the worst field conditions of the game. Heavier rain, wind, and a field that's been destroyed for a half. Yet we can't score even 1 point with the better conditions.

No way dude. Our front 4 will pressure DeShaun alone. Their OL gave up 6 sacks against Wofford, App St and Louisville.. This kid needs time to be accurate and WILL make mistakes under pressure.

I know we don't exactly have a sure thing at QB but your prediction renders him completely useless because of the weather? The kid laid one in Fullers reach from 50 yards out with the game on the line, off his back foot! Have some faith in him.. He sure does.

24-0 at the half??? Damn bro, Clemson has you scared.

The weather's going to shape the game. I have no idea who it will favor, but this will be a very different game than one being played in South Bend today.

From the start of today it's felt like a 'Deja Vu' day for me. Like I've had this exact day before. The only problem, I can't grasp the outcome of the game.

Pretty much nailed it except for how much Clemson would be able to score, and how well Watson would play. We really shut him down minus a couple big plays.

I was just talking about the actual margin of victory.

I think Kizer struggles. Clemson will load the box and force throws to the intermediate outside, where he has short hopped more than a few thus far. For as good as the O-line is, this will be one of the more athletic fronts ND faces this season and ND will barely eclipse 150 rushing yards. On D, our safety play will cost us once or twice and Clemson targets Schmidt in both the running and passing game and the defense has a look similar to Virginia. Too many mistakes in the first half cost ND in the end and their 4th quarter rally falls short. Clemson by 6.
Margin of victory wrong, but I was pretty close.
