It was pretty much unusable for me on mobile until the last week or so. I've been very happy with whatever changes were made

I started to reply to a post but didn't post my reply. Now I can't figure out how to exit the post without posting it. It just keeps popping up, how do I close it?

Issues with the banner again the past month. Now I go to pages and am redirected after the banner extends without touching the screen. I’ve cleared cache/history/cookies & still nothing.

Example: Grubbs thread this morning.

Any help would be appreciated on how to stop this on mobile.

The half page drop down ads never appear on my laptop, but are a constant nuisance on my phone. They really make it difficult and annoying to navigate the site.

Anyone else dealing with this new ad issue? It’s not just a half page drop down, it takes over the whole page. You can’t hit a down or up arrow to make it go away in that direction and see what’s on the page you were trying to access, but rather you have to hit the back arrow at the bottom of the screen to go to your previous selection menu. And it is happening 2-3 times in a row before I can access a page. As bad as I’ve ever seen this issue. Can this be looked into?

We sadly don’t have any control over which ads get served up. It’s whatever Google AdSense chooses to give us. I think there’sa way to report certain ads as abusive though. We’ll see if I can get it to load on my phone.

Which mobile browser are you using?

I've never had a problem on my laptop, but I use the Chrome browser on my phone & tablet and the dropdown ads are relentless and annoying. It takes 2 or 3 times longer than it should to navigate the site due to those ads dropping down every time you load a page, try to look at your alerts, etc.

I have semi permanently stopped using this website. I use it on safari on an Iphone. I cant navigate without the top drop down add and most pages are so full with live action adds that I fear it is gonna give me a seizure. Has anyone found a way to make this site useable on an iphone?

All of a sudden I’m getting a drop down ad over and over again that covers 90% of the screen. This one is way bigger than any I’ve gotten before and there’s no way to close or minimize it. Almost every single time I refresh the page it comes back.

I’m using IE on Safari.

Edit: This seems to be the same thing Me2SouthBend was experiencing.

Exactly what I was getting. Knock on wood those aren’t appearing any more but the 1/2 page ads that you need to hit arrow up to get rid of appear on every new page I go to. What you are showing are the worst. Made site unusable.

Edit. I did knock on wood and yet the very next refresh I got hit with the same drop down. WTF?!

Also, is there a reason this thread no longer shows up on the front page when it’s bumped? I understand keeping some things separate but it seems like this should be an exception for the sake of visibility and helping users imo.

I only ask because I actually had no idea there was a help section in the forums until last night. I had assumed this thread was deleted or something.

This whole forum (Blogs, News, More) does not populate on front page. I am going to move the whole thread to Clashmore Commons

With regard to the unclosable mobile ads -- started seeing them today myself, only in Safari on iPhone. No idea why they started. We are in the process of tinkering with stuff and planning a server move which will allow us to do some code edits + updates and finally have a better grasp on what ads Google feeds. Probably will be completed by the end of the month.

I just downloaded Wize adblock for my android and turned it on.

Very rarely do I run in to ads anymore and that includes most of my mobile games.

Hopefully IE still gets paid even though I don't see the ads at all.
