Confirmed that we made no changes on our end, and I've reached out to support on this but until I hear back no clue how to disable. In the meantime, landscape trick works or don't use safari on mobile. Super annoying as I personally mainly use Safari + iPhone.

Server move likely coming up this week, we will let you all know when it's been paid for and scheduled. Once we have everything on Windows, we will be able to do more tinkering and updates.

I really don’t like complaining about things that are free but this site is almost unusable on my phone. Ads are taking over the whole screen. Any suggestions on what I can do? I have a iPhone. Thank you.

Edit - Sorry, just read your post, Lax.

Yeah, Safari is fucked right now on iPhone. Absolutely ridiculous, we didn't change any thing and don't know what is causing it.

Server move should be done in 7-10 days, currently working on getting final quotes + timeline. Once we have access to everything on Windows we can fix the code.

In the url box top left there is a screen icon where if you click on it you can hide any ad. It usually holds for a few hours.

Maybe based on what iOS you’re running? No changes for me on iPhone + safari.

(On Apple Safari) Last night I was actually able to hold horizontal, then flip to vertical and the website autozoomed out a bit. With that, I was able to see the up arrow on the ad and was able to hide it. For the next 10 minutes, each new page had the normal sized banner ad that could be hidden by pressing the arrow underneath it.

To add to Lax's comments. The process to migrate will probably start later this week or early next. Should be seamless, but for those of you who work in IT, you know that's never a given. Part of the frustration has been getting some things updated since Clashmore Mikes passing. We've had to jump through a bunch of hoops to get things like login's, email addresses, MFA updated just due to the security that's in place. Given there are several tech companies involved it's just made it that more frustrating. And of course, our real jobs and life get in the way. lol

Appreciate everyone's tolerance with the ads as we work through this.

On IPhone, I can work around this issue by going to a private safari page. Incognito , if you will

I'm surprised to hear about the issues because I use the site on my POS phone and never have these issues. Maybe since I'm too poor I dont have your guy's fancy iPhone problems.

It is. It's been renewed, but needs to be installed. Unfortunately we've ran into some complications with the current host. We're in the process of moving everything so the SSL is on the same host and will be updated automatically. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Not using while Security Certificate is expired?
If its like me, the website was down until I deleted cookies and then got the security warning. I was giving it time to just fix itself and only did the cookies thing when I thought enough time had passed that it was probably working again.

Is there an IrishEnvy twitter or instagram account for updates on website problems, that way we can see when the problem is with the user or the site and when and what the fixes are?

We’ve started the process to migrate the site off of the current provider because of difficulties working with them. In the meantime the security certificate expired creating access problems. You can access the site using incognito mode. I’ve also had success using http:// instead of https://.

Working to get this resolved asap. Appreciate your patience.

Yeah, should be good now until Christmas Eve with the new cert (That's when the current sub with Go Daddy needs renewed). If you're seeing "Not Secure" in your browser, make sure you clear your browser cache and close/reopen your browser. The site certicate will then show updated and good.

Sorry for the delay, ya'll! We had some bad info from the Cloud hosting support that led us in the wrong direction.

I cannot stress enough how grateful we all are for @Irish#1 being the guy to step up, and to @ulukinatme for stepping in to help… dudes didn’t even hesitate, just got after it to make sure things keep moving.

Two guys, loyal, long-time IE users, spending their own free time and efforts to keep things going for us. Gives me the warm and fuzzies*

*or is that the beers and Skyline?

You're definitely feeling the consequences of celebrating National Chilli Day on Friday
