This isnt bad luck or being cursed. This is designed qb runs. You put yourself in huge jeopardy doing so. Especially when you dont have a great backup. I could see perhaps if golson was still around. But the risk is not worth the reward when youve only got one qb with a little experience.

Yeah, Wimbush is the only other scholarship QB on the roster, so if Zaire is out for a lengthy time (which seems likely), then Wimbush is likely our new backup. Maybe we'll keep him out of games to preserve his redshirt, but I doubt it. Kelly will probably want his backup QB to get some mopup work just in case Kizer goes down.

My opinion on this is that it's not as bad as you think it is. We have to realize that it is really hard to win football games at this level no matter who the opponent is. This is even more so when you are Notre Dame. Things got tough today. Virginia were leaving everything out there. Our play calling was not consistent. Injuries. Maybe some guys were not feeling it today. These guys are not professional athletes. You would be surprise at all the stupid shit that affect how a team plays. Not saying things could not be better, but listen the season is still alive and right now that is all that matters. A lot can change in a week, let's see what happens next week brother...

Most other teams with even remote title hopes, due to a variety of factors, aren't hurt as bad by them as ND is. Comparing this to tOSU last year is pretty silly IMO for example...
