Bit of perspective from a Ga. Tech fan:

ND will never win another NC until you do something to fix the O'Leary thing. You guys think the Bambino curse was bad, you do not even know you are living under this one. Do any of you realize that the man had just signed a 15 year contract with Tech, with the only provision in it to leave being an offer from ND? Think he might have been a little more motivated than this series of fame hungry wannabes that you keep ending up with? The day you fired him was the day I lost respect for your school and stopped rooting for you.

I hope by now everyone knows how badly CPJ wants to beat CBVG and why

ND has over 50 four and five star players on it's team - Ga. Tech has 3 four star players - can you imagine the embarrassment you would feel if....

And Rudy was offsides

Is that what they call perspective these days?

"We simply can't have nice things"...funny this thread's name, swear I said that 50 times last night. There is nothing worse than a broken ankle, people sometimes are never the same.

It is what it is. Kizer is no punk. Looking forward to seeing how good he is this year.

This is what I am most worried about right now. I had a broken ankle, courtesy of a motorcycle accident, and everyday I still limp. I have since tried to play some lacrosse with mixed results on the ankle. In one game I went to plant while being pushed from behind and it completely gave out on me. I am sure he will receive better care than I got, but I do not believe it will ever be the same for him. Hopefully I am wrong.

Look at Jack Wilshire. He was a prized young soccer player in England, and Arsenal couldn't wait to see what he could become (neither could the national team). After he broke his ankle he still just isn't the same. He makes some great runs, and you can see how much talent he has, but he is constantly getting sidelined because that injury always seems to flair back up. Also, Arsene Wenger has even said that because of the surgery and such, Wilshire has lost mobility and flexibility in the ankle which makes running and playing a sport like soccer a little harder.

* Not the same sport obviously, but cause for concern.

How about we stop with the stupid spinning, jump, mosh, body bump celebrations?
WTF happened to the high five?
How many times have we seen people injure themselves doing this the past few years (not just ND)?
I can think of four off the top of my head between NCAA and NFL.

UCLA's Eddie Vanderdoes is week 1 as well...celebrating the TD that Kenny Clarke caught

I sat next to a girl that was friends with Avery Sebastian. She got her ticket from him. Avery told her that he would be back for the USC game.

That helps, but with his being a foot injury I wonder what kind of shape he will be in.
