Counterstrike, back in the early days.

Was nationally ranked in the top 100, lolz.

I loved Counterstrike. We used to have LAN parties playing Assault and Dust for 10 hours straight, stopping only to use the bathroom, eat pizza, and drink Mountain Dew.

Wasn't the best team the American Dreams or something like that?

Loved that game.

Yep. The American Dreams had Pete, Babe, Cy, Sandie, and other baseball legends. The Lovely Ladies were the best team to play though. They drew the biggest crowd and gave you more gate money with every win.

You could create teams and pay for upgrades...just an incredible game.

To excel at war, you have to get inside the head of your enemies.

NBA JAM for Super Nintendo.

I think I won 50 straight against my friends before they stopped playing me.

Jeff Hornacek was absolutely unstoppable with lockdown D and ability to drain a 3 from pretty much anywhere...though he did lack a certain flair considering he would get rejected by the rim on every dunk.

Also destroyed at Super Smash Bros as Pikachu. One jump and down a move every time plus his throw was so good. Couldn't ever hit the little bastard because he was always in the air.

I remember having a Coleco Vision as a kid. When we first got it, I went to bed that night, woke up for school the next day, and my dad (who was vehemently against video games and other frivolous things) was surrounded by empty beer cans and at the tail end of an 8 hour Q-Bert session.

The exact same thing happened with my dad and the game "Oids." It was so bizarre. Hated us "wasting our time" on games and he got hopelessly addicted to that game on the old Mac computer. After a week bender of not being able to stop himself I think he threw the game away.

And let us all not forget Resident Evil

Which might be, the greatest video game franchise of all time

RE2 is one of the greatest games of all time

I remember in college my roommate and I called in sick to work, and proceeded to play RE2 for hours while smoking cigarettes(nasty) and drinking Mountain Dew. His mom walked in and caught us red-handed. She was not amused.

There was a cheat code where you could get a mini-gun if I recall.

Absolutely bad-***!

My favorite game of all time and I used to dominate as well. Too bad they haven't made one this good since.

I'm surprised to see so much love for Majora's Mask in here. I mean, I knew people liked it, but I always thought Ocarina of Time was the better game. I couldn't get over the fact you had to remain as kid Link basically the entire game. The whole plot was an interesting twist in MM though, I'll give them that.

As far as games I dominated, I was a beast at Goldeneye on N64. Aside from taking the time to unlock all the cheats, I usually destroyed my friends just enough and let them win occasionally so they would still want to play  Same thing with Mario Kart, up until the Wii versions, just never got into them and theres only a few people around to play since I was in college last time Mario Kart was popular lol. Speaking of college and Contra, I did witness a guy beat Contra on just the 3 lives and no continues. He also had no life...like, he lived in his dorm room.

Aside from those, I was pretty good at all the competitive Super Mario games and Punch Out (I've got a Play Choice 10 arcade in my garage these days with those games)

Here was a game I was really good at that hasn't been listed: Base Wars. Best Baseball game that has ever been released. Where else can you command robots on the field, and then fight to the death if they try to tag you out?

Really looking forward to some of these PS4 titles... Fifa, The Show (Ill get it on PS4 and Vita) , and Dying Light (I think that's the name, the zombie game on PS4) all look like top contenders right now.

You could cheat up a storm on that one and stand like two inchs from the screen and still not get them at around level 30ish...

Oregon%20Trail,%20The%20(1992)_3.png

When I was in grade school (late 90's), we used to have library time every friday for two hours instead of our afternoon class time. There were four computers, and two of them had Oregon Trail. It was always a battle to be the first in the library to claim an Oregon Trail computer.

While everyone else bought nothing but ammo to play the hunting game, I worked on mastering the ways of the Oregon Trail.

Favorite shooter was Modern Warfare 2. I dropped quite a few nukes when that game was the big one. I would max out the unlimited sprint perk and the hardline perk to reduce killstreaks by one/two, and would sprint through the map with a shotty. People hated me haha.

Also, I thought I was the bees knees at NCAA football until I joined IE's PS3 dynasty online. Nothing but close games with those guys. My friends have never been able to hang, but IE is full of fantastic gamers.

I would be my life that I'm the best Metal Gear Solid player in the world.

I've played and beaten the 4 latest ones (never played nintendo ones), and am especially good at 1-3.
