If they actually cared about the kids, they’d put that $25K/year into a fund that they can access upon leaving their respective institutions for whatever reason leaving may be. $25K/year is less than minimum wage in California.

1.) Put “Gateway Pundit” (the source of the above article) in a search engine and see what it says about that outfit.
2. Put California AB 252 in a search engine. Take note of what it deals with. If you like ask search engine who sponsored it.
3. If still not satisfied that you are being made less smart and more skull f@cked, put the supposed sponsor,Holden, into the search engine, see if he has sponsored any Bill like that.
4. Ask yourself why someone would go through so much trouble to get everything wrong, and how you managed to miss that.

This guy did propose a bill along those lines this week. But as Gateway Pundit is indeed hot garbage of a news website, here’s what is probably a more level-headed article about it in the LA Times.

Basically would all but require athletes in revenue sports to be paid $25K/year, guarantee scholarships and set up a fund for post-college medical care. Similar to federal legislation that formerly Stanford TE Cory Booker filed in 2020? Doesn’t mention anything about capping coaches pay.
