The only white castle we have out here is in our freezer section...

Never had White Castle sober in my life...not too bad at 3am.
True story: There's still a vomit stain outside the McDonald's in downtown South Bend from a time I tried to eat a double quarter-pounder with cheese after we combined "slap the bag" with "pass the jug" one night. Sangria and red wine makes a uniquely purple vomit.

I love Roscoes... i find it has an INO effect on people tho, it's hyped nationally so some people hate on it regardless... it's really good, there are a few places here and there that are better that aren't as famous but seriously, they put crack in their waffles, I don't even like waffles and I freakin LOVE their waffles... give me a side of their greens and some hot sauce... damn. A MUST for out of towners, if only to say you've gone there, tho about 1/3 of their locations aren't in safe areas so you need to know which one to go to.

True story, one of my close college buddies was standing in line with a friend for Roscoes in Inglewood in high school, when a drive by lit up the people in line... his friend died right there.

See this is the kind of shit that doesn't happen in New England. We're a friendly suburban people.

Not saying it's good, just providing another example of "fast casual" that isn't fast food. My wife loves that place but I can't stand it. If I'm spending $10 on a sandwich, it better be a huge ass sandwich that leaves me stuffed, not 1/16 lb of deli meat on stale bread.

Took the words right out of my mouth. If a sandwich is 10 bucks it better be damn tasty or huge. Panera is neither. Garbage.

I know that you weren't talking to me and I don't live in the area (though I was in the area 4 times over 2 years so I got to try a fair amount of food). The place that my wife loved when we visited there was Romano Cucina (down in Mission Viejo but a pretty short drive if I remember correctly).

There is Romeo Cucina and Roman Cucina. Roman is on Cabot off LaPaz. I have ordered platters from there several times for parties we have had at the house and we are always asked where the food was from. It is a lot of food and we always have leftovers for days after the parties. I have yet to eat at the restaurant, but when picking up the food it is always crowded and the bar looks fun.

If you like sushi, try Jasaki on Crown Valley close to Nigel Rd. It is a hole in the wall in a strip mall so tough to get in. Best bet is to try it during the week.

Sit down Mexican our stand by is Javier's. We usually do the Irvine Spectrum, but if you are an out of towner and want a show go to the one on PCH in Newport Coast.

If you want good seafood or panko chicken at a reasonable price, try Spike's. It is a quick service restaurant and we usually take it to go. However, there is seating inside and outside. It is on Pacific Park in the large shopping center with the Walmart. It is on the side with the Starbucks, Rubios and Boston Market.

Sorry to completely hijack the board. Do we even have a foodie thread for more than just burgers?

By the way, done Five Guys twice and once was after drinking (wanted greasy food) and I would never go back even if it was free. IMO

Melts out your ass too!!

Why the italics? Of course it makes booty paste once it mixes with 18 beers and 10 shots of whatever.

If you are sober, all it does is.... umm I've personally never had sliders sober. Does anyone know what it does to your lower GI tract without alcohol?

The same as it does with alcohol.
