Chris Collingsworth was talking about his recruitment trip to USC. Said he was hosted by Munoz. Coaches gave Munoz $200 and tickets to a Lakers game. Before halftime Munoz says the game is boring and he and Collingsworth leave. Munoz takes Collingsworth back to his room, hands him $20 of the $200 and tells him to get something to eat and hope his comes to USC. Munoz pocketed the $180 and probably headed out to party. lol

The next day he was at McKays house watching OJ play tennis. Collingsworth said he was never going to go to USC.

I think it was Willie Williams on his FSU visit who said at dinner he wasn't going to order a lot but saw what everyone else was ordering so he got lobster, shrimp, steak, you name it. He'd never eaten so well in his life.

I can't imagine some of these recruiting visits. I would take all five if I were a recruit. Get everything you can out of the process. Especially back in the day prior to this year's Supreme Court ruling.

lol WW is an amazing story. He got mad at FSU when they had Antonio Cromartie who was hosting him during his visit while recovering from a torn ACL. "Some cripple" is how he described him lol

No way Fickell doesn’t end up in Cali at USC. He’ll do well there.

Assuming Cincy makes the playoffs, what more can he do there? Day isn't leaving OSU anytime soon, so one would think he has to take that next big jump. I just don't see him at USC. It's so Hollywood and doesn't fit him imo.

Agreed. Franklin to SC makes more sense, with Fickell to PSU.

Tommy to Cinci.

Usc needs a coach that can quietly bring that team back. Fickell will have a much better talent pool to pull from. He is defense minded coach. And they always get weapons on the offensive side of the ball.

I always like to check out USC forums as they melt down every year. Sad to see that wearesc is now a paid forum. If people don't even go to the games, how are people paying to talk about the team?!

They joined the On3 network this summer, which is a shame as it was always the best independent USC site. Sadly, the founder, Garry Paskwietz, passed in 2019 and others have taken it in a new, downhill direction... including bringing in Scott Schrader. Enough said.

Jaxson Dart practiced today barely 3 weeks after meniscus surgery. Will play "soon". Was spectacular in the game that Slovis got hurt in, most yards ever for an SC QB in his first game. Some thing to watch, he has much better escapebility than Slovis.

Something similar could have easily happened to IE. You hate to see it.

More like we wanted to make sure it always stayed free.

Are you telling me that providing a free message board isn't the cashcow I always assumed it was?

No but seriously you guys are great for stepping up and grabbing the ownership. I always feared before that occurred that one day the board would just end and all my contacts here would be lost to the wind.

My USC alum friend asked who ND fans would fear more, Matt Campbell or Dave Aranda. I figured it'd be nearly unanimous after this year that it's Aranda.

You know, I'm not sure. Campbell has the better overall track record, Aranda has the better upside. I don't want either of them there. I'm absolutely convinced that Campbell's "floor" is a USC that wins the PAC12 50% of the time.

Definitely Aranda. I think both are good coaches, but I don't know if Campbell is a great fit in LA. He's a midwest guy like Fickell.

Aranda however, is about as great a fit as you can find. He's a SoCal guy, defensive-minded and emphasizes being strong up front.
