Another upset looming: Temple is down to Army 21-13 with 3 minutes left. Temple just threw an interception. Supposedly Army hasn't won an Away game since 2010? Go Knights!

[DOUBLE EDIT] Ok, ESPN was wrong. Army has won ONE away game since 2010, against East Michigan last year.

Temple just threw ANOTHER pick, back to back series now. It might be a long season for the Owls. Someone should do a wellness check on that Temple blogger, Mike Gibson.

What Army does doesn't matter. The committee has shown they don't care about lower/middle tier wins. What have you done against the big dogs. Any win outside of a top 20 team is looked at as just another win whether that team is 4-8 or 7-5.

Oh man, Mike Gibson was heavy into the Kool Aide again this year. His blog talks of possible national championship and breaking Temple's 10 game best season. He thought losing the 3-4 defenders they lost last year (One being Mattekevitch) wouldn't be an issue. They were just going to reload.

That being said Stanford does not look very impressive at all. KSU was moving the ball consistently on the ground with absolutely zero vertical threat.

Just checked it out. Boy, you weren't kidding. Kahoooooo-LAIDE!

The dude is hilarious. In the 2013 game Gibson thought the Owls stood a chance against us, they were going to throw 500 H-Back passes because their previous QB converted to that position. They didn't throw one, and got beat. He thought they could STILL run the table that year, and they lost the next week to an FCS team I think.

Last year he thought no one was going to stand up against that Temple defense going into the ND game, and they certainly got their licks in, but ultimately fell again....and again....and then they just kept losing after facing us.

This year he thought they were going to pickup right where they started from last season. We have our Kool Aide drinkers, but he's got a whole cooler of the stuff. He thought they were extremely deep at every position except QB, with their starter being the only capable player. Got news for him, his QB didn't look that great tonight...he was throwing balls right at defenders, ended 12 of 26 with 3 picks and no TDs.

I know it's Temple, but there's something about their attitude going into that game last year, and Gibson was talking a lot of smack. I don't usually give two shits about non-P5 teams, but I don't like Temple.

I think it's a bit of both. Stanford will still be tough, but we should keep in mind that they didn't look great against Northwestern last year in that loss...but they got it together by November and did enough to beat our depleted defense.

Twice in the end zone in the 4th quarter. They may get away with that at home but they do not look very good and may not get away with that on the road. Will be pissed if those calls aren't made against ND.

9 months to prepare for the Triple Option, and Temple just got schooled. I wouldn't touch that DC with a 10 foot pole. Elliot (Or whoever it was) did an awesome job last season scouting out Option defenses and worked with BVG to get it done. Hopefully they kept their notes.
