Not to high jack the thread, but to back up my previous point, Ricky William's Heisman team was 9-3..... Can you imagine a RB on a 9-3 team even being invited to NYC this day and age? Drives me crazy.

He also rushed for 2300+ yards and broke the all time rushing record that year with over 6 thousand yards in a career. Breaking a 20 some year record held by Tony Dorsett.

That year was fairly weak with Heisman candidates, also.

The difference is these are two top 5 teams going at it. OSU gives up 30+ to teams like Cal, Ilinois, Northwestern, and Michigan.
