To be fair, I've also seen the same type of rhetoric said about those who vocally support the police as racist, etc.
No, it won't be easier but their job was made much more difficult earlier after they've been blasted for months by people like Sharpton and de Blasio. When you have protestors scream we want dead police and now there are two dead cops, how else are the police supposed to respond?
Everyone is a potential target in my eyes. I have to be this way. If I want to stay alive, I have to act like I'm in a war zone. I've been left with no other choice. What de Blasio and all the rest of the leaders did was no different then Mike Browns stepdad yelling burn this bitch down. No different.
I've been on the streets. I've had that target. I've been attacked. I know the feeling. At the end of the day, I have to make it home to my kids no matter what. I didn't turn this into a war but now I have to defend myself and respond like I'm in one.
Dude, to you and yours thanks, and keep doing whatever you gotta do to go home at night...ALL OF YOU.
Deblasio, Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakhan ...now that cops were hurt and died because of their rhetoric, they will back-pedal so fast, they'll slow the earth's rotation..and prove just what opportunistic punks they truly are...I've already seen the President and the AG check themselves...so these morons will get in line...There will be conciliatory words to law enforcement, there will be ..."you took me out of context", there will be all manner of machinations. But the truth is THEY contributed to a warzone mentality instead of preventing one...when there were some systemic issues that required thoughtful consideration and real leadership, they pandered and devided...
No one needed Deblasio, Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakhan to get to constructive ideas to address perceived bias...its time they get run, so to speak. New York City should recall Deblasio...he can no longer be an effective executive...if he cared about New York City he'd put his head down, and exit the back door, never to be seen again. As for the Moe, Larry, and Curly of race relations...its time to put them down and move on....other leaders who can envision more hope and unite exist...these guys are no good.
