MTV is just legitimately anti-white (and/or trolling): <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">La La Land's tribute to jazz music is a Trojan horse white-savior film in tap shoes <a href="https://t.co/NfydtqLXK1">https://t.co/NfydtqLXK1</a></p>— MTV News (@MTVNews) <a href="https://twitter.com/MTVNews/status/810963157627891713">December 19, 2016</a></blockquote>

I mean... if that's your takeaway from that movie, you're beyond all hope.

That video was a pathetic. But what else should you expect from a channel designed for the "soft decade". I have always said that social media/personal blogs would be bad. Looks like I was right.

You would realize how much I agree with you if you would just watch my daily vlogs while burning a scented candle.

Good! Because I would vote for Lesley Gore(1946-2015) before I voted for Al Gore!

in all seriousness...I was trying to look at it such that the candidate can help legitimize the party...Al Gore is not my cup of tea, but he is known, and respected by some, and he knows how to campaign and raise money. Which right now, that is what a party like the green party needs more than someone I'd vote for.

If the exercise is to generate future choice...some parties are SO far behind, they need to first become a legitimate player...then field a candidate to win.

I think Al could do that for a cycle.

This is the democratic argument in a tweet/video for 2016.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Hey, white guys: we came up for some New Year's Resolutions for you. <a href="https://t.co/C9EeIY6wig">pic.twitter.com/C9EeIY6wig</a></p>— MTV News (@MTVNews) <a href="https://twitter.com/MTVNews/status/810960588973035520">December 19, 2016</a></blockquote>

Now, why would democrats struggle with white guys?

It must be that us white guys are racists and misogynists and other forms of phobe or ist.

Now some of the delusional will show a confederate flag at a Trump rally and try to paint it as mainstream Trump America, but that is complete crap. Yes, these people exist and it does happen. But this MTV video on a major network is exactly how the left has painted white guys for years.

Why wouldn't white guys just jump in line? Must be a whitelash!

If you don't think this is racist, then imagine a bunch of white guys making a video on CMT about how minorities could be less annoying in 2017. I'm sure that would go over well.

Am I crazy or did I just see you complain about generalizations after leading with one for Democrats' message being summarized by fucking MTV?

Sounds a lot like manifest destiny.

"Manifest Destiny", the two-word justification for the genocide of the Native American population and the stealing of their land. The great Lakota chief, Red Cloud, is quoted as saying "They made us many promises, but they kept only one. They promised to take our land, and they did." If that is the period of American greatness we are returning to again, we have reason to be worried.

Not sure if you read the thread, or the context in which I replied. I'm not a chicken little who thinks we're returning to the days of Nazi or American genocide.

Stealing land? Did Rome steal land? When Alexander forged his empire did he "steal" land? Napoleon? The Tsars?

Why is it viewed as stealing land when it comes to the Indians?

"If Trump expects the Americans who did not vote for him to accept him as president, he needs to show that he accepts all of them as Americans. He needs to show that he understands their concerns and hears their fears. - Jen Palmieri (Clinton campaign communication director)

The irony and lack of self-awareness in this is astounding. Eight years of a president who couldn't have been more tone deaf, dismissive of, and antagonistic to half the population, followed by a candidate who lost because she and her party couldn't have been more out of touch with the needs, concerns, and fears of that same half of the population... demanding that the new president reach out to the losing side to show he understands their concerns & fears and show them they're part of his America. Wow. Should he do just that? Of course. Did such a thought ever cross their minds over the past eight years? Yeah, well, ummm, no.

I'm stunned that a developed country functioning as an apartheid state and conducting slow takeover of Palestinian territory would garner criticism from the United Nations. Stunned.

I'm not stunned you're stunned.

Regardless of the issue itself (Israeli settlements), the way Obama has gone about this and other things is shady to me. Paragraphs eight and nine....

This above is not the Trump Presidency, this is the Obama Presidency. The Trump Presidency is this

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump
As to the U.N., things will be different after Jan. 20th.

Yes they will. Whatever his policy is it needs to be clearly communicated. Abstaining is for cowards.
It's like HRC abstaining from Walmart board votes on Union and women's pay.

What "Palestinian territory"?

An imaginary place. They should just leave.

Well that's basically the policy of Israel, which is why they catch so much flack from entities that care about human rights and specifically from developed nations that got together and agreed after World War II that they were going to hold other developed nations accountable.

It's pretty sad that the Holocaust and the Nazis' desires to force Slavs off their land gave Zionists the political capital to found Israel and start an apartheid state with similar intentions for the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who lived/live there. Two wrongs don't make a right and you'd think the Israelis of all people would be leading the effort to not repeat mistakes from history.

And it's mindblowing how American Conservatives continue to be the only major political entity in the developed world who refuse to even acknowledge the shady actions of a peer nation in the region. The AIPAC has the GOP wrapped around its finger.
