I actually was wondering if the U of I would be a place for Wimbush to grad transfer, if that's not too low of a step down for him football-wise. You can do much worse than a grad degree from the U of I

Against elementary schools - yawn

They had a tough schedule all things considered. They played up and beat a 6A Laf Jeff that finished #15 OA per Maxpreps. They beat 5A McCutcheon. They destroyed 2A power Tipton on the road who's only other loss was to state champ and Top 20 OA, Western Boone. They finished off the season with 4 playoff wins vs big market Catholic recruiter schools... Gary Andrean, Indy Brebeuf, FW Luers & defending champs, Eville Memorial.

Just sayin.

Wondering too.

I mean it's not like Sumlin doesn't have binders full of data to back up developing college QB's. Now that I think about it, is there a college coach out there that has a better track record and lineage than Sumlin and college QB's? Maybe. But it would certainly be debatable.

Sumlin made him pass too much and limited his running. Tates year has been a season of BW vs Ball St.

He's up 1000 yds passing but he's down 1200 yds rushing.

Lovie has Tate 2.0 coming in this class, Isaiah Williams. Not sure Williams would dig that. If Tate transfers this year, it's becuz he graduates in 3 and is eligible right away... you'd think.

He needs to start exploring the slot because him getting paid depends on him getting on the Antwaan Randle El plan.

On Jeff Thomas, he has a daughter back in the "City of Champions". Could get the waiver to be closer to family. Illinois coaching staff has metro east areas all over it. That one is damn near a done deal.

Definitely messed up situation. Pretty sure he's also on record, positive I heard this on sports radio this week, saying he doesn't want to transfer to a school where he'll be a running QB.

Wasn't Tate hurt the bulk of the season too? I know he had an ankle injury, perhaps more?

That's at least part of the reason for the decline in rushing numbers. I watched one of their games where in the middle of the season where he literally could not run.

Maybe Tate wants to run...but not get injured

Nope, not with Brohm staying at PU.

Good thing is that Moore will be gone (more than likely) in 2021 when PU visits ND stadium for the 1st time since when (2014?). I'd be surprised IF he stays for 4 yrs., as talented as he appears to be.

Smartest thing he could do. Sits out a year, doesn't risk injury, has another Rondale year in '20, then it's payday.

Will also give Brohm a year to rebuild the mess around Rondale... Not sure how he'd look next year (obviously good, but dumpster fire good). Year two should be a nice "re-coming out" party.

If he goes, I want to see what happens to the Purdue class. It's sneaky great.

Brohm looked good against a top 25 team in Louisville with Lamar Jackson the first game of his career with Purdue, I'd say let's not sleep on them regardless if he goes to coach there.

Looks like we'll never know what Brohm and Moore could do for UoL.
