What you saw as a young kid is nothing compared to what kids are watching now. And there's a rapidly growing body of evidence showing how much damage it's doing to younger generations.

Whiskey I fully agree, but nobody is putting the cow back in the barn at this point.
I just don't see a practical way that is realistically going to happen to curb access. That said, parents parenting is the first line of defense, and the most important.

Parents can't do that 24/7 anymore with technology and ease of access. Finding a way to limit the access, whether through "parental devices" on the devices, or(and) through legislation, regulation, etc. are what's needed.

Limiting access to smartphones is a start, but that doesn't curb access obviously. However, there needs to be a staggered defense besides just the parents, and I'd argue they shouldn't be the first line, rather the 2nd or 3rd based on regulations and such.

Just my opionion.... but smartphones to young kids has always been a bad idea. phones and other tech allowed at school, always a bad idea. parents not educating their kids in a healthy manner about sex before they have access to porn is a problem.

How are parents supposed to "educate" their kids so they'll be able to handle exposure to hardcore porn at such young ages? They're not just seeing mundane stuff, but group sex, simulated rape and incest, etc. This isn't the sort of thing that can be handled by sitting your son down at 14 for a talk about "the birds and the bees" before he sneaks his first look at Playboy or catches a glimpse of Christy Canyon on a grainy VHS tape. By that age, most boys have already seen much more extreme stuff on their phones or their friends' phones, and are pressuring their girlfriends to simulate the same sorts of acts. The UK is struggling to deal with growing numbers of middle school girls getting injured and humiliated because their boyfriends pressured them into anal sex.

I think we can do better communicating to kids what is reality (from a sex perspective), and what is not (hardcore stuff). I do agree the access issue is a problem, just not sure what the answer is. Short of killing the internet, kids will find stuff they want to find. Technology is moving fast, and I don't see it slowing down. If I had my way, I'd kill FB and Twitter too.

I always cringe when my 13 year old daughter brings her friends over and she's the only one without a smartphone/full plan/ LTE whatever... It's hard to keep kids off these things but I'm still against giving them full unfettered access to these techs and such...

The porn in and of itself? No. The accessibility of porn today though, is (at least partially) because of the industry. Parents have to do more to monitor their children, but it's so easy to get it. I think Whiskey has mentioned too, the kind of porn available to young kids today. Hell go back to when I was 12 (2001) and the internet didn't have NEARLY as much readily available FREE graphic stuff out there like today.

I still would need to:
A, Get a Playboy or other magazine
B, Find a few free previews of ~3 minutes of "normal" porn
C, Pictures of naked celebrities online.

It's vastly changed in the last 17 years.

Man, you youngsters will never understand the hunter/gatherer process of watching shows through the squiggly lines of the old-school analog converter boxes.

I'm so glad my wife doesn't wear makeup (or very rarely/very little)... some of these chicks who cake their faces seriously don't even look human when you see them without their masks on.....

Far too many of these pictures bring far too many sad memories.

Going to list my vehicle for sale privately. Never sold anything worth more than $2,500, so looking for some advice on where to list and what to say.

Here is my write up:

2014 Kia Soul+. Lots to like about this vehicle.
• 75,000 miles.
• 4 new tires, new brakes, and rotors resurfaced on 7/1/2018.
• Every oil change happened before mileage was hit (with proof).
• I’ve been the sole owner of this vehicle and it has never been in an accident.
• Carfax report available. Shows no accidents, and a suggested retail of $10,600.
• KBB recommends I sell between $9,661 and $11,184.
• Professionally detailed and cleaned on 10/10/2018, so it’s showroom ready.
• Would love for you to come take a look and test drive. I love this vehicle and am not looking forward to selling it, but we need to get a 4x4 for our growing family.

Thanks for looking!

I'm planning to post on craigslist and facebook market. I'm not against using cars.com/autotrader/whatever else is out there, but figured I'd start "free" and to be honest, not sure which to go with if I did pay. Any advice is appreciated.

Hah!

2015 Brand of the year, I purchased in 2014. Like everything else, I'm a step ahead of everyone else.

Koon posted before about his Kia, I believe just before or just after his purchase.

I would say 'low miles' then list the mileage. Say 'one owner' not sole owner. Say maintenance records available, not that you've changed the oil before the mileage called. Say 'accident free w/ Carfax availale' as opposed to how you have it worded. The way it's written looks like one of the dudes that tries to flip vehicles locally and isn't the most educated.

I bet those hamsters or guinea pigs whatever they are, are the reason you bought that.

Good Luck
