I believe Mike had a sports hernia? and also a tonsillectomy.
Thanks. I thought I remembered something. If he had a hernia, could've cost him months of progress.

I took it from the current roster at Blue and Gold since it wasn't mentioned in either post.
Say it is 225 that's what the current und.com roster shows. Is the 7 pounds significant?
Depends where she gained the weight. Chest is acceptable, stomach is not.
Kind of like the old split end.
He is going to lay the wood on, linebackers, defensive backs, etc.
The offense will rely more on keys and option off of the end. You can see it in the plays from this spring. The way Golson is placing the ball in and waiting a moment to withdraw or let go.
This year we have McGlinchey, Stanley, Elmer, Lombard, Hanratty, Martin, and Hegarty, with all indications a "slim" Montelus, and a Bivin, as well as a McGovern are at least ready for second team.
We could put three tackles in with or without that tackle being elgible.
We will move the ball downfield fast. This will be incredibly disconcerting for those trying to get a hard rush or blitz, because our wide receivers are going to be too good for any secondary we face. Last year MSU was the best I ever have seen and we beat them because our wide receivers established themselves against the most blatant fouling, and most talented secondary, and owned them (MSU) by the end of the game. The same MSU secondary that owned, UM, OSU, and Stanford. And our receivers are better and faster this year, and oh, I heard our two quarterbacks may have a faster release.
I'm not so sure they will be better than FSU. Probably better than anyone else but I remember FSU cleaned up on DB's a couple years ago, including our very own Ronald Darby who courted us for awhile. I know he was a freshman AA but don't remember hearing if he was a starter last year still.
Quick question LA: So to try and quantify Everett, do you think he looks better than the last time he was at ND? Lets use a system from 1-10 where 5 is where he was previously at ND, 1 being a shit ton worse than when he was at ND, and 10 being a shit ton better than where he was previously, what would you rate him?

Brian Kelly sees some small progress on Notre Dame’s injury report. But those gains might be minute beyond Sheldon Day’s legitimate return from an ankle sprain that’s cost the defensive end three games.
Jarrett Grace and Daniel Smith both underwent surgery in the past week, with the inside linebacker flying home to South Bend after three days spent in Texas following his broken leg suffered against Arizona State. Smith underwent surgery on his broken ankle after a reduction in swelling. Neither player will return this season, with Smith’s college career over.
Among an injury list that includes Doug Randolph (shoulder), Nicky Baratti (shoulder), John Montelus (shoulder), Torii Hunter (leg), Chase Hounshell (shoulder), Tony Springmann (knee), Mike Heuerman (hernia) and Tarean Folston (hamstring), there’s been at least some minor gains.
...
Despite their recruiting laurels, I don't think they'll be as good as MSU's secondary was last season. That secondary was, unarguably the best I've seen ever. Take it for what it's worth, as I've only watched college football for about 12 years, most of which I had little to no true understanding for the nuances of the game. Darqueze Dennard is destined to be a shutdown corner, and I'm hoping my Bears pick him up. Isaiah Lewis was one of the best safeties in college football, despite his lack of size, which is hurting him in the draft boards. Kurtis Drummond is an elite safety in his own right and will go down as having one of the greatest interceptions ever. Trae Waynes was dominant last season, as was his counterpart Dennard, and he has the chance to replicate or exceed Dennard's success. No disrespect to FSU's secondary, but I don't see somebody touching that kind of defensive success for a while. They're close, but just not there, at least not yet.
Hahaha I hope brother.
Okay, let's hear more about Anna now that all the bullshit about the team is out in the open.

5. LaMarcus Joyner, FSU, DB: His position should just be listed as Playmaker because the short DB does everything for the Noles D. Just another superb talent to come out of St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, the 5-8 Joyner is inch-for-inch the best defender in college football. He has three forced fumbles, one INT, four passes broken up, three sacks, two QB hurries along with 31 solo tackles. Joyner shined brightest in the Noles' biggest game, at Clemson where he had eight solo tackles, two forced fumbles, one INT and one sack. "He's legit," said an NFL scout. "He's fast and twitchy and instintive. He's so much fun to watch."
Ah ha, yes you are right but ND doesn't play MSU this season so I stand by my prediction that FSU will be the toughest secondary we play in 2014.
Made it out to practice this morning. Sat with Mike Frank and Sean Mele, who had some great insights, and then Tim O'Malley and Anna Hickey (yes, THE Anna Hickey) from Scout sat next to me. Talked to Tim pretty much the last hour...great guy. Anna is very sweet, very down to earth.
Never got to see you.
But I saw Hickey, and I have to say. I'm a little disappointed. She kinda has that RBF going.

Like I said, I won't put her on blast. She's very cute.
Yeah, you missed a good time last night. TP, his boys and I hit it pretty hard. Lots of great Irish talk. Had to take a taxi home because I was in no condition to drive lol. TP even had a couple of his friends stop by late night and hang out with us...2 local newscasters (REALLY good-looking and a lot of fun). I'm very happily married but TP and his buddy are single so it was a good time for all.
At least next year you'll be 21!
For real. Finally!
