Curious if anyone thinks with Dee Liner decommitting from Auburn, Alabama might be a likely choice for him. He is from Muscle Shoals and if he were to commit to Alabama would they still have interest in EV?

Edit: Just read on rivals that he would not be visiting Miami and that Alabama is his favorite, but Alabama had nothing to do with his decommittment. Yeah right.

At some point a recruit has to look at the depth and say nvm.........

theres no way alabama tells any recruit "oh you might have to wait 2 years to see the field". Bear Bryant did this to Bo Jackson and look how that went...Saban probably tells every recruit they are his number 1 target and offers them the keys to the program! Then the day they get on campus he has them running hill sprints til they get "humble" :p

South Carolina did this to Chris Brown, (yes the same Chris Brown that caught that bomb against Oklahoma)

His dad still posts here, and has remarked about how his son was treated like a "3 star" and not given the same attention that "5 star" recruits were given, while on visits to "Football factories".

That's what helped him decide to choose Notre Dame.

Let's hope that our coaching staff still knows great kids when they see them

That happens every where just not to the extreme that the one and only SEC does it.

Liked what the Bama coaches had to say, and he's excited to check them out, but he "wouldn't say they are a leader or anything".

The ND coaches like the weight he is at and want him to play the position Tuitt plays because he's too athletic not to rush the passer.

Keep in mind that the news is coming from the Bama reporter.

Do you have the link? or is it a premium site thing?

I think this report is good news. How would the Bama reporter know that ND coaches like the weight he is at unless Eddie V told them. So the fact he is mentioning Notre Dame to Bama reporters means something.

I think this is a pretty big deal, considering it's coming from a Bama reporter and all. I'm really liking our chances here. I know I'm just setting myself up for disappointment, but I can't help it lol

Yeah it's premium. I'm sure the Bama reporter also asked what happened with the ND coaches, but I agree it sounded pretty good. I think we are in a good place. Just need to knock it out of the park on his visit.

ND's ace in the hole is the campus visit. EV seems to be genuinely interested prior to even visiting, and that says a lot about the direction the program is heading in and the ability of Denbrock and others to recruit California. So that makes me confident going into his visit next weekend. If we can land EV ahead of two top notch recruiting programs, with presumably all things even at this point from what we know, it'll be a perfect finish to an already exemplary 13 class.

I actually think it was Justin Hoskins, the Oregon reporter, who seemingly has a really good relationship with Eddie. I think he simply wrote that article for the Bama site, which is why it is premium on there.

For instance, if Jason Sapp got a solid interview with AQM after ND was out of it, he could make that premium and post it on the Miami board, as that is where it would be most pertinent.

You're right, it was Hopkins. Sorry for missing that. I just noticed it was linked to the Bama site.

three- and five-technique is what Elston and Denbrock told him, for those who like using the technical terminology.

Not that they didn't mention Tuitt as a reference point ... they did.

Love how aggressive this staff has been. According to Sapp we have been in Eddie V's home every week we could during the contact period.
