Did y'all know kids don't sit Indian Style anymore? I forget what it's called, but I remember my nephew called sitting with your legs crossed and tight to your body something I had never heard before. When he asked me to sit that way, I looked at him like Homer Simpson looks at Marge or Ned when asked a question that doesn't involve beer or donuts.

I cant count the number of times I came home sweaty, cut up, and with a huge smile on my face after playing that game.

My dad's not one for political correctness, but he did actually tell me to call that game "Smear". Obviously I didn't know what a "queer" was back then. I'm always amazed that he had the foresight to tell me that, very unlike him.

Playing football, kickball and baseball in the backyard with all the kids in the neighborhood from 9am-dark... even then, if the street light was working, we'd play kickball or touch football in the cul-de-sac at night.

Being outside in general. When I was little, we would go anywhere we wanted in the neighborhood if we weren't playing sports in the yard. And you could never go inside anywhere, because then you couldn't hear mom or grandma yell for you when it was time for lunch or to come in for the night. And if you didn't come running fast enough when they yelled, you got whooped.

Whoopin's.

Did you know Bobby Ross was an officer in the Marines, he swore to never yell again once he left the military.

I loved when I would invite a bunch of friends over to play Nintendo 64 and we would stay up all night playing Mario Kart and Mario Party. Now with the Xbox 360 and Xbox live, you just use a mic to talk to your friends. It's not nearly as fun

THISSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

most of this thread is turning into "these damn kids" posts, but this guy totally got it. I miss hanging out with my friends and playing Mario Kart and Madden. Now we all are online talking smack through a bluetooth, kits just not the same.

Also, I wonder where some of you live because here in LA we still have Drive-In's, Double Features, Arcades, etc.

WTF is this? It sound terrible

We played and called it "Kill the Man with the Ball." I think it's the same. One kid gets the football, the rest try to pummel his a$$. The best was when the ball would get free and you would judge whether you could get it quick enough to get away from the pile.

Other games: Man Hunt, Kick the Can, British Bulldog

Ours just closed last year. The best one, the one that you know, showed the more alluring aspects of life, closed years ago. Wasn't old enough to go but could sure watch from #4 green. John Holmes was the man!
