You can't trust British people, everything is backwards over there.
What with all those extra u's and driving on the wrong side of the road.

My wife and I went to London for part of our honeymoon.
We arrived after a short flight from Dublin, and it was lunch time. We asked the front desk at our pretty-nice hotel where we should go for our first meal.
They referred us to a tiny, hole-in-the-wall place down the street and across from the British Museum. They swore that we would love it.
It was owned by Russians, served Greek and American food, accepted 8 different currencies as payment, and none of the food ended up being good. It was feaux Greek and a terrible take on American.
I'm not sure if the hotel people over-estimated the amount of convenience we wanted, or if they just didn't like us and purposely sent us to this place, or maybe that their food is truly so bad that they thought this was a good option...
Either way, I'll never trust the words of the British ever again.
