Since this isn't coming from 247 staff directly, I thought it would be okay to share. I have DMd and asked if I could share. Pretty interesting stuff.

I had the opportunity through one of my classes to partake in a Q&A session with Pete and thought I’d share some key takeaways below. I will say, we also had the chance to hear from Jack, and while he was very impressive and has done some great things for us, I think the program is going to be in really, really great shape with Pete going forward with his background, connections, and love for ND.
- He emphasized the importance of NIL and that we are, and will continue to be aggressive.
- The new facilities will be great from a nutritional and sports science perspective. We will continue to invest from a psychological perspective as well and be a place that can support mental health too.

- ND must win a national championship soon, and it needs to happen with MF as head coach.

- ND is set to make nearly 13 mill each year from the CFP even if we aren’t in it, but an additional 6 mill each year if we make the playoffs….which puts us on par with big 10 and sec for the most part.

- He would like to have shamrock games in Boston and Dallas again, but hinted that Italy would be cool vs BC one day.

- Pete thinks it’s very important to bring back the Michigan game.

- Believes that down the line, conference alignment will eventually get to the point where the 30 or 40 most relevant football programs are in their own league.

- Thinks keeping MF if (and when) OSU comes calling will be doable, just have to make sure he has everything he needs to win here that he would there. Not easy uprooting a family with 6 kids. Talks about how Marcus says knowing what he knows now, he’d have picked ND back in the day.

- Pete thinks we should have beer in the stadium since 91% of schools now do. Said that maybe it will begin by having a beer garden outside the stadium or by selling it in the stadium for a CFP game just to show the school it’s not going to cause issues.
Thanks for sharing! Go Irish!

Great stuff. Love some of these comments, and really like that he's already out ahead of keeping MF if/when OSU comes calling.

They've sold beer in the stadium before: Blackhawks game and both Garth Brooks concerts.

The fact they don't sell alcohol for football games is them being stuck in their ways.

If you want ND stadium to get louder you need alcohol

I never drink beer, but I know I'm louder when I've had some vodka at the tailgate beforehand.

This would require them to figure out a way to run concessions properly. Can’t even get a water in under 20 minutes. Which if we get beer AND concession logistics solved, count me the hell in.

Mobile ordering app + self-order kiosks. Food lines are pick up only. And there needs to be a bunch of them w/ adequate staffing. No reason that can't be done in all sporting/concert venues to cut down on lines. Speed comes from the readiness of the food and the ability to distribute it to the proper person as quick as possible before moving onto the next. Some quick service restaurants at Disney are like this as well as the Masters (minus the mobile app for obvious reasons...no cell phones allowed there).

I'll be curious what the new regime does about NIL as it pertains to high school recruits. If they become okay with paying these kids and start funding Top 5 classes, look out. ND, under Freeman, already recruits really well w/o pay-for-play deals. If ever this was an administration who could figure out the most responsible way to handle NIL, it's ND. They've already proven it with current players and transfers. The next step is high school recruiting. We shall see how badly they want to start stockpiling Top 50 players like Georgia, Bama, and OSU seem to always do.

They already do the self order/grab and go lines at the ND hockey games and they’re awesome. Here’s to hoping they implement for football!

Wait, there's a jail cell? I've got a buddy in the Army that got ejected from the stadium before the 1st series was over due to drunkenness (I tell him he still holds the record for fastest removal, I got a sweet letter about the incident from the university that I should have framed). However I've seen a girl in the gold seats passed out and throwing up on herself and she never got removed.

Walked into the jail a boy, came out a man.

Was it difficult to acclimate back to the outside world?
The blue hairs in the cell with him groomed him to believing that the best players are found in Catholic high schools between Philadelphia and Cedar Rapids, IA.

Acclimating is not an option.

If Ohio State "comes calling" for Marcus Freeman, I'm going to have to assume a lot of shit went right for Notre Dame Football and will have gone terribly wrong for my liver considering right now their coach is 56-8 (39-3) and Marcus Freeman is 19-8. They or anyone else come sniffing around, I think we will have seen and had some serious fun on Saturdays more often than not.

It was a room used as a drunk tank. Long story short, I wound up with a ticket that was in the middle of the USC allotted seats. Called some fat cunt a fat cunt and was quickly introduced to an army of ushers and later the NDPD. It might have been worse than what I remember. I drank a lot that day.
