Or are you getting used to it? Unfortunately the Twins do not have the talent to compete with the Yankees, especially the Twins' starting pitching. Too many pitch to contact guys, and that does not match up well with the stinkin Yankees big bats.

NY-PHIL rematch would be the best ratings wise IMO.

I don't see any possible match up in the WS this year getting huge ratings... MAYBE the giants/yanks??

and ESPN already started their hate-fest... it was the lead story on baseball (not the playoffs) that attendence fell for the 3rd straight year this season by literally small percentages... yet they fail to mention every sport has been hit (yes even the NFL) by this economy or the fact TV continues to take fans away from the parks and arenas in general... basically they covered it as "A baseball problem"

this really burns me... basketball gets killed in many ways and nothing is reported b/c ESPN has a huge investment in that sport, hockey and baseball hurts in ways too but that's ALL YOU HEAR about those sports from that network... the minute ESPN cut back on their coverage I said this would happen, and now here it is... ESPN is basically MSNBC or Fox News just with sports.

this is a bullsh*t. money is not the end all of everything. check the marlins with two world series titles and one of them beating the yankees. it's not the money why the yankees win but sure it helps and can get you out of some mistakes you make. the twins have a good team but just don't match up with yankees very well.

I'm kind of with you... but the Marlins spent TONS of money on those two teams... they basically bought two titles and sold the talent off to break even.

Lol bro they bought those 2 rings just like the Yanks have bought most of theirs. How many of the starting 9 for the Yanks came up through their farm club or was drafted?
Most of them were bought in free agency.

If there is ever a salary cap in baseball the Yanks are effed!

Don't forget about A-fraud, as a matter of fact if you combine his salary along with Tex and CC's salary it comes out to around 77 million dollars. That's more for 3 people than all of these teams entire 40 man roster makes.

if a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ***. it doesn't reallt matter because there is not a cap and probably won't be one. hey but if you put a max cap then you are going to have to put a min. cap too.that would stop all these owners from pocketing all the money that these big clubs give them for going over tax. lets be honest that the owners making the most money are the ones that don't put it back into thier teams like the yankees, red sox,phillies and angels just to name a few. if your owner would put some of that money back into the team they probably wouldn't be so hit or miss.

I was extremely upset when the Rangers upset my Rays. Watching them play the Yanks makes me feel a little better. At least the Rangers pitching is doing the same against the Yanks. Gives me a little comfort in the fact that they're shutting out the Yanks the same way they did us.

True, but still how many teams could honestly afford those 3? Yanks have money and that's why they are continually in the hunt. I'm not hating on the Yanks but even the Yankee fans have to come to the realization that they are in the position they are, because they have the money!

The funny part is that the Rays have won the division 2 out of the last 3 years without nearly the payroll. Granted you guys have a WS ring in that time but still.....just saynig.........
