Looking over their commitment list... I'm inclined to say none? Ben Yurosek is really the only name that jumps out, and that was over pretty quickly in their favor.

Fair to say we got better tight ends anyway.
The only name that rang a bell to me was Humphrey but feels like he may have been more hoped-for by some on IE than seriously considering Notre Dame. I don’t think he ever visited.
Usually there’s more overlap.

They were light and injured at OL this year, but had some reinforcements coming in via recruiting, and had a couple of other guys that will get healthy.

Now they're losing two guys from that group to transfers, and don't have a defense at all besides Adebo... and if Adebo declares for the NFL???

Beat them by 50 next year and put the nail in the coffin.

They'll have some frontline defenders that should be pretty good. Thomas Booker, Joshua Pakola, Andres Fox, Stephen Herron Jr., Tobe Umerah, Pryts, Robinson, Tristan Sinclair, etc. Those were all highly recruited guys that should provide some decent production next season. But the gap in talent behind some of these guys is stark or at least on paper looks like it.

I would not be surprised at further attrition with Jordan Fox (LB), Maddox and Speights (RBs), and Toner (K) leave with their degrees. One draft site ranks Adebo as the fifth best CB, if he leaves.

They seem to have six DLmen returning with two verbals who will probably redshirt.

Saw they signed Emmitt Smith's son, EJ Smith.

I hope he's going for the academics because we all know their football program is a shit storm right now.

I commented I think in the Stanford game thread that he was in attendance at the game during his OV. What a **** show that was w weather, complete lack of Stanford fans and the horrible team on the field. He must be sold on the education and clearly is deciding not to go to a football factory. I was convinced he was going to end up in Gainseville. I'll give him some credit for not doing that. Too bad they'll struggle to put a full 5 O Linemen in front of him next year.

They return all of their starters and Walker Little. Their starters won't be the problem... until they start getting hurt.

They started 3 Freshman OLM and played 4. I'm sure they'll get better and this was the pitch to land a good RB. This year was a one off, so to speak.

But when you need 35 man class to get to 85 its a sales pitch that will not become reality. Their defense isn't close to what it was a few years ago.

Their line was horrible last year, too. Yes, it helps them that they got young guys some seasoning and that Little is returning but there is no reason to believe their line will go back to dominating power football how they did in some years past. There has been massive regression since Bryce Love's junior season.

I think it’s a terrible look to have one of the highest player totals in the transfer portal in the country. However, I do genuinely think a bunch will return to Stanford. Shaw mentioned that for a lot of these kids it is an opportunity to explore a guaranteed starting gig or a better situation. He also mentioned that he expects some to come back. Maybe it is just posturing but I think that some of the guys will definitely come back. The five biggest guys for them to recruit back would be QB Costello, OL Hamilton, OL Hattis, DL Williams, and DL Swann. If they got those 5 back then they’d be fine. Scooter Harrington apparently might come back if Parkinson leaves and if he stays he would’ve backed him up anyway. Eboh in the secondary is a backup to Adebo and will only return probably if Adebo declares so he’s exploring his options. The point is, there’s a long way to go with the Stanford drama and it is far from over. Only one of those guys is truly gone in the portal and it isn’t an enormous blow.

They put together a very good recruiting class, but man, they filled up the transfer portal almost by themselves.

Very curious to see if David Shaw takes any NFL interest seriously. Not that he should go anywhere near turd Daniel Snyder in Washington.

You think that's a very good class? If so then ours must be out of this world, lol. I think they ultimately landed on a solid/good class. It's something they can win with but I'm not sure I'd call it very good with 20 commits and an avg rating of 88.16
