I can't think of any objective reason for BK > Les.

Especially when you consider Les had to deal with Bama every year.

Les has Saban to thank for his NC. Otherwise, he spent the majority of the remainder of his LSU tenure trying to stay out of his own way.

Les Miles is the worst clock manager in the all of college football.

He isn't an offensive minded coach and can't produce offense with on of the best running backs in the country.

Can recruit QB's but gets nothing out of them.

Not to mention you get him in front of a Mic and god deosn't even know whats going to come out of his mouth.

That's one more than Kelly has. And we aren't arguing about Saban vs. Miles; we are arguing about Kelly vs. Miles.

There have been mediocre coaches that have won titles despite themselves (Chizik comes to mind immediately).

An improvement over BK right now isn't really saying much considering we're likely to go 4-8. Neither Miles nor Brown would give me any confidence that ND could compete for titles. Why would you want to get rid of BK only to turn around and make a totally half-assed hire?

jack needs to make strong play for strong for asst HC/DC and pay the man; Kelly needs to support this regardless if he wants to or not.
no bk extensions from here on out and after the 2018 season if its not working then we clean house with a new HC.

Doesn't matter what formation you run out of in short yardage if your oline can't control the LOS.

You know I was the New York Giants, you know an NFL team, and the barely went under center yesterday. In many short yardage situations they were in shotgun.

It's just the type of football being played.

I like Charlie Strong and think he will become a good coach again, but I don't want him back at ND right after this debacle at Texas. He has been awful. Texas is a disaster. Those players are not giving him good effort and they are really poorly coached right now. I think Charlie needs to either take some time off or go be a DC at a smaller school out of the limelight for a little bit. His psyche has to be pretty bruised at this point.

you could be (probabaly are) right but I don't mind taking a chance on a guy like strong (if he'd even come here as a dc) he has lot to prove right now, can recruit with the best of em, had some great defenses at uf, and I always felt that strong and texas were a bad fit from the start (that was never gonna work out-those good ole boys want to "make texas great again" if u know what i'm saying
