Nervous in having no idea what to expect... from both teams.

A few of the lads are coming over for a pregame "tailgate". Brats, Wagyu burgers, nachos and a fridge full of beer. Broke down and bought a bottle of Red Breast 12 to toast the kickoff. Cheers, and GO IRISH!

Was texting an old friend who said he was "hoping we (Georgia) keep it close tonight, but I'm not so sure."

That made me feel a little better. Two scarred fanbases going at it. I think it's a close game, so I'm not overly confident or pessimistic. Let's just play it already!!

Optimistic as hell. Sticking to my prediction of an Irish win by double digits. OL and running game will be strong. On defense In Elko I Trust.

Not really Smart's MO. He's like Saban in that he's more concerned about his own defense's execution. If they do their job they shouldn't need surprises to throw at a young QB.

It should have NBC. The four big channels are the first in the guide. The rest of the guide works in alphabetical order. The first four channels are NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX. The only thing weird about it is that when it cuts to something local I get Chicago instead of Tennessee. It's because they haven't worked out that licensing yet.

I think it's close the whole game but Georgia pulls away late on some series of flukes... screen pass that goes 90 yards for a touchdown, pick 6 by a defensive end, muffed punt, something like that.

I'm an optimistic person by nature but I'm quite nervous for the game. I'm going to stick with my previous prediction but not confident in it.

I'm just happy we have a team that can be good enough to be nervous about on game day. Coaching and talent is good enough to not just be competitive in big games, but win the big game.

I'll be stunned if ND wins... not because I'm high on UGA, but more because ND is just ND. It would be very ND to lose this game in such gut punch way... would be a great time for 'the spirit of Notre Dame' to reemerge after a couple of decades of nap time tho.

I get the run in 12 but our luck since has made the magic (plus the end of that story) that year fade pretty quickly... 2015? ND lost each of the three biggest games that year. Anyway, hope you are right obviously.

I keep going back and forth btw Irish win, Georgia win, Irish blowout and Georgia blowout...this game will certainly tell us a lot about the team, and perhaps even more so about the QBs on the field. My challenge today has been staying sober enough so I can "enjoy" (read: be stressed during) the game. Jump out to an early lead Irish! I'd rather see Frommy play from behind and hopefully start forcing things.

We lost to Clemson in a monsoon at the end of the game and we were one play away from beating Stanford on the road and making the playoffs. If we had Mike Elko has our DC back then we'd been in the playoffs. You know it's not easy winning NC's. Lou won one in 10 years and has a statue.

Couple of things here and you guys know how negative I can be about my Irish----I have a good feeling about this game----I think Kelly shows he is the coach I have always said he is----top 5 in America----I feel like Notre Dame wins this game----but the defense is going to have to stand in there and take the cannon shots from a nasty running game. Notre Dame wins this game----somehow. And I better not see a stadium filled with red or I call out ever Notre Dame fan who sold their tickets as creeps and non supporters of the program. This team is used to playing in these super bowl games for the opponent and even a blooded sec team like Ga will see Notre Dame is used to these type of games
