Good overall game. Played exactly the correct type of conservative football we needed to in the second half to extend the lead and then shorten the game. The vanilla stats (yardage, etc) won't tell story of the game.

Clean game if unspectacular. Defense played very well, offense did enough to keep adding points. MSU absolutely imploded.

Down to our 4th string running back, hoping that was precautionary.

MSU had 34 minutes TOP to 25 for us. They ran 85 plays to our 60, forcing them to pass 53 times because of a pretty good run defense we showed. Excellent win. Take away Lewerke's big run at the beginning and Sparty had just 99 yards rushing on 32 carries. Awesome.

Exactly. It's supposed to apply when someone isn't engaged with a blocker and dives at a QB low. It is not supposed to apply when someone gets knocked over into a QB.

Wimbush looked much more comfortable today. Still have plenty to improve... but he was much more accurate and confident.
