-BW.... He improved to 55% I think. That's awesome if true, along with his legs that's enough.
-RBs... Jafar did better than expected

-Is our OL struggling, or was it the scUM DL? Or playcalling? Not scared...
-WRs and TEs were awesome early. Faded later. BK playcalling at fault?

2 things

1.Alohi Gillman is mf'n monster. About time that S position got shored up.

2. I had no confidence in this team prior to the game. They have a lot to fix on ST and the OL struggled (although fichigan has a stud front 7), but the D is for really real. Get to Tree at 4-0 and let's see what happens.

Compared to the first half, our O position groups were not the same.
Our D did keep us on top.

I'm not sure how some of you can sit here and nitpick this win. We just beat fucking Michigan. It's always good to beat Michigan. In the last 12 quarters at ND Stadium Michigan's offense has scored 1 TD.

For one, it's the first game. While other teams are playing tune ups we played a legitimately great defense right out of the gate. This may be the best defense we see all year. Give it some time to gel. We have three games coming up that are...less difficult than this one so let's see where we stand at the end of September.

Better team, who? ND played the Top 14 Team, only 2 ranked teams played an opponent ranked higher than Michigan. Most of them were playing FCS or ersatz FBS paycheck fodder and running up the score.

We had TD called back because the WR covered the TE making him an ineligible receiver. Meanwhile the WR ran an excellent route, an excellent catch of an excellent deep throw by Wimbush.

We had to replace 2 First Round OLs and a bunch of RBs.

"Michigan has the best pass defense in the nation ..."

WE WON THE FUCKING GAME ... WE NEVER TRAILED ... THEY WERE THE ONES TRYING TO PLAY CATCH UP ... AND DIDN'T.

SAVOR THE MOMENT!

And yes I'm shouting. Apparently from your post (year in and year out, win or lose) your deaf as well as dumb.

They should jump Penn St. They will likely jump Washington though that's not entirely fair(I think ND would beat Washington though). I'm probs missing a couple others. ND and Auburn and LSU/Miami are the only two teams that will have bonafide solid wins after week one.

Ball State is gonna steal the thunder next week

Seriously, The 4th quarter took forever! Felt like it would never end. Any win over Michigan (especially when ranked) makes it a good day. It's hard to get a read on how good ND actually is, as they were one of the few teams playing a decent opponent the 1st game.

I'd like to throw this out there.

Chips "grind offense" probably would have looked better with Dexter out there.

Feel like we would have got a couple more first downs for sure.
