Our DL is scary young and lost a lot of talent, and we couldn't stop Gardner this year.

Irishsteelhead - I would do that if I lived closer, but I live 4.5 hours away and my brother 6 hours away and it's his first game so I'm going all out.

But if it gets ugly fast ill pack up and look for the drunk guy to dump the tickets on!

This isn't directed at you in particular, but why do people always make statements like this about the Michigan game considering how the past few years have gone?

Are underagers allowed in bars if they're not drinking in South Bend? Where I'm from, it basically depends on if the bar serves food or not.

Your brother is screwed dude. They've cracked down big-time on letting underaged kids in. My friend and his girl were at Tilted Kilt the other day, and even though they are there all the time they still wouldn't serve her a beer (she's 26 and forgot her wallet).

Actually, having said that, now that I think about it, he'll be fine as long as you find a place that allows minors in there. I go to the Tilted Kilt a lot after my games and I never get carded until I order a drink. I would suggest calling different places and see what their policy is. The places right near campus will not allow him in...

I don't see how any ND can think that way. We find ways to lose to LOTS of teams that don't have the talent level we do, and Michigan definitely is not talentless. Oh, and they've pretty much owned us on the scoreboard lately as well.

We SHOULD be favored by about a FG to 7 points come game-time (hardly a blow-out line) and I think we SHOULD win, but we lost to a VERY mediocre Michigan team last year, and we lost to them 3 years ago at home when we should have won. Strange things happen in this game, always. It is a very winnable game, but it's also very 'loseable' as well.

Nothing is ever sure in a game against Michigan. They treat this rivalry almost like "The Game" while it's just another game to us.

Eh, idk if Brandon gets fired. Hoke might not have been the best hire, but they are still a profitable athletic department, one of only 22 I believe in FBS (we obviously are included).

Yeah, I'll be able to drive. I'm drinking before the game, but the game's so long not to mention getting out of the stadium, so I'll be fine.

If anyone wants to pregame/tailgate, I'm all for it. My younger brother can either drink/not drink, I will take care of him. He's a good kid and won't get out of hand.

I found one hotel within 20 miles that's only $105 per night. If I don't find better by the end of the week, I'm booking that for both nights.

If anyone wants to get rowdy, I'm all for joining a tail gate.

Also, if anyone else wanted to go as a group and get a section, I'd be down for getting a small section together. My brother and I will be loud FYI. Stubhub has that new feature where you can get group tickets and everyone can pay towards the total price from their home. Pretty sweet sounds like.

FYI - I'm really only looking at sections near the students. 35/36/135/136 ish.

I know I'm not well received on here, but honestly, I'm probably one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet who still has an opinion on everything and sense of humor, FWIW.

I think as long as Brandon stays, he tries to protect Hoke. So Brandon stepping down would probably come first. If Brandon is gone, I think there is about zero chance for Hoke. There are other reasons Brandon could be gone other than Hoke's record.

Touche. I was considering Hoke's performance and Michigan's other problems as mutually exclusive relative to Brandon, but that likely isn't the case.

I have a friend that is a prof at another University, who has a bunch of prof friends at Michigan, and there are some pretty sharp currents under the surface right now. Kind of like major rip tide current. He predicts a good old fashioned political fight between the academic and athletic side, which would have been unheard of in days gone by. That and the fact that the president, Mary someone or another is universally despised. So there might be some momentum building from the blind side. That's what they told him, anyhow.

As both Brandon and Hoke have provided entertainment and proved they were asshats, no telling how stupidly they will get enmeshed in all of this.

We used to have a song for the skunk bears and you could hear it blasted throughout green field, before and after the games, it was a take off on their "Victors" (barf) song they would play every time they managed to gain a yard or get a tackle. It wasn't child friendly but it was appropriate for the subject matter. Good Memories.
