So Tillery can be a 1-tech run-stuffer when Cage needs a breather, but he can be a 3-tech slasher if Day moves outside.

That's awesome. Little talk of Hayes for most of fall. I hope he's still killing it and with a loud mouth and energetic. Hoping he breaks out.

I'm so hyped right now, I can't stand it. The idea of playing 5 TEs made a little blood rush into the tip of my penis.

Then I thought about all of our WRs and our OL and RBs and I have a full-on erection. I wonder if Sanford will infuse this offense with just enough change to make it totally different :)

Hey, not to interrupt, change the subject, and/or, but does anyone know whether there is a good place on campus to watch the game if you don't have tickets? I have a friend who is going up for a tailgate with her son, and I told her I would try to find a good place to watch the game. Anyone help? I tried to look on UND dot com and got more confused than answered!

LaFun should be hopping. Legends will be good. Any of the options in the Eddy Street Commons. The Backer. Lots of options. I'm certain all will be standing room only.

LaFourtune Student Center, it's south east of the dome. When you enter from the west there is a side room in the middle hallway on the right with tiered seating. They have games on in there all day inside there but that room is best IMO.

Hope that helps.

They say Malik is a RB playing QB?? Thats hilarious i cant wait to light them up
You guys are misreading this. It's a compliment to say that Malik is a RB playing QB when it's the defensive line coach talking to the defensive line. He's saying "this guy is big, fast, and physical, so we need to be prepared to pursue and tackle." He's not disparaging Malik's throwing abilities. It would be different if this guy was talking to the defensive backs.

Perhaps. I just took it that they feel Malik is a run-first QB who won't throw much. I'm also confused by the OL comments and why they think ND's line isn't special. I don't think it's a homer statement to claim ND has one of the best OL's in the country this year.

I didn't think the comment about the OL was bad either.

I took the "nothing special" as "they don't do anything weird or different as blockers," not "they aren't that great."

I think the context, when he talks about how it's game over if ND's OL gets their hands on you, supports the fact that they weren't trying to talk smack.

Right. "If they get hands on you, it's going to be hard to get off the block and make a tackle, which isn't anything special/unique/different than the way we coach our guys to defend against any opponent."

I know a lot of people on IE are looking forward to running a fast-paced spread this year, but considering we're deep on offense at almost every position (with the exception of perhaps RB at QB), while in some areas on defense we are an injury away from disaster, I'm thinking eating up the clock might be wise when possible.

Hopefully we see a happy medium; a hurry-up attack early on to build a lead, then chew up clock once you have some cushion.

Maybe come out of halftime going warp-speed again to make a statement; chew clock again once the other team is sufficiently demoralized and/or if you have a 2-score lead against a good team.
