A very long shot, but does anyone know if there are any good places to watch the ND game in the Wolfeboro / Lake Winnipesauke, NH area?

Its one thing to use freshmen as an asset on a team, but it generally spells trouble when you have to rely on them.

They can have all the talent in the world, but you need others to cover for their inevitable mistakes. They can play very well but they will have lapses. Even if they are the best of the best, they'll still make mistakes and we have to capitalize when they do.

As a Texas fan (making the trip), this is the main issue I have with the team this year. While you guys are hoping a new starter can play well, we're hoping entire position groups can surprise people... not a good situation, but it's the hand we're dealt with Mack leaving it to rot.

The only way I see us keeping it close and potentially winning is if the D gets to Malik and turns ND one dimensional. I don't see how Tx can keep it close if it turns into a track meet, it's going to require an ugly game 13-10 ... 17-14. I don't see Texas scoring more than 14 to 17 'real' offensive points. The flip side is I think the Tx D has enough D line depth to hold the line and keep ND to <24 'real' offensive points.

Side question, how's the tailgating set up on the golf course? I'm assuming there's some good action around there.

<good board by the way, seem like decent folks with a solid asshole edge and light moderation>

The Notre Dame Club of NH has a Gamewatch at Murphy's Taproom in Manchester. What,s that an hour from you?

You can try and find someone closer by contacting the The ND Club in NH through their website

Notre Dame Club of New Hampshire - Community Home

or on Facebook.

Good Luck!

Our moderation is tougher than it appears.

We are solid assholes as a whole.

But I mostly appreciate your post. I'm not familiar with the golf course on gameday. But you'll find hoards of welcoming and friendly Irish fans at the stadium parking lot.

Good luck.

I had a ton of friends that loved Texas. Mack may have left the program in shambles, but he also delivered quite the glory days there in Texas. I do think Strong is the right man for the right job.

I loved watching Texas rob the '04 Natty from USC.

Funny. But I still wouldn't mess with Coach Strong. One of the rumors running down here is that he wakes up and puts in his own time in the weight room before the team arrives AND THEN goes through a workout with the team. I'm not saying it's true; all I'm saying is that I wouldn't mess with Coach Strong.

For real. The guy is intimidating, but you want to play for him, he commands your respect. He was good as ND's DL coach, and he certainly honed his coaching under Urban.

Going to feel bad when ND blows them out and they have to go whine about being the fourth best team in their state

Wow they really don't like us huh? Wtf did we ever do to Texas?

Denied Texas of a NC and unbeaten season ending their 30 game win streak when Ara's Irish won the '71 Cotton Bowl.

Denied Texas of a NC and unbeaten season when Devine's Irish stopped Earl Campbell and trashed the #1 Horns 38-10 in the '78 Cotton Bowl.

In each of those games ND crushing defense caused about a half dozen fumbles.

Oh, and ND has beaten Texas 8 out of 10.

No Texas opponent has a better record against them than The Irish!

Having read their blatant vitriol, allow me to re-tort:

Those "faith alone", "scripture alone" fvcktards are in for a real awakening as they watch their team crumble around them, much like their life philosophy. As the 3rd quarter grinds down, you'll see their dline blown off the ball further and further and further. You'll see a hungry ND team feasting on what remains. Their players will quit mid play, you'll see half-assed attempts to tackle and it'll be delightful.

Jaylon will feast. KVR will feast. Our DL will feast, since they'll only have to go up against a mid-tier college OL. The WRs are going to be fed all day since Charlie will be determined to stop the run. Safeties in the box All. Game. Long.

Fuller continues his ascension into the top tier of WRs. BVGs blitzing mentally exhausts their team. We rack up 4 sacks and begin to believe in our defensive line. We see them broken like the Oklahoma team of '12 but more delicious because this is Texas wagyu beef.

Stay hungry my friends, Saturday is going to be delicious.
