Worst part was this... I had my schedule worked out the day of the semis to see the large portion of the Germany Brazil game... I figured nothing much would happen in the first 25-30 minutes so I walked in at the 30 minute mark ready to watch the majority of the rest of the game.... it was already like 5-6 to nothing Germany...

ha yeah that game was mental :D

My VP once came by my desk and gave me a hard time for not watching the US Open (golf, not tennis).

I don't think anyone worked for a month during World Cup.

Our clinical supervisor listed one patient room as needing "maintenance" when the U.S. had World Cup matches so we always had a room available we could sneak in and catch the game.

Golf is a fantastic game... to play... how anyone ever watches it on TV is totally beyond me... talk about paint drying.

1000x this. I barely have time to watch interesting things on TV, let alone golf.

I prefer early games so I can enjoy the game, then (after a win) relax the rest of the day and watch the other games without losing focus due to the upcoming ND game.

Not me. I'd rather emotionally invest myself into an otherwise meaningless 3:30 game and forget that ND is even playing. Then when I remember at like 7:28, there's no waiting to be done.

First time I've agreed with you since 2014.

I too am anxious all day but I love getting everything set up and making a big damn deal of it. Also, I love watching night games with the atmosphere being crazy. So, I will apologize in advance for rooting that we play more big time night games

1 night game = 1 monster recruiting weekend. 2 night games = 2 monster recruiting weekends. If for no other reason, ppl should like the night games for what it means to future seasons.

Do you guys not like other college football? Like is ND the only game you typically watch?

I love cfb, I'll watch any game, but my life's passion outside of family is ND football... when they have a big game hours later I can't sit back and enjoy anything... just get the hell on with it. When it's an early game I can jump right in, then take a deep breath and watch the other games, or if ND loses I can get drunk, jump in the pool and hate the world from afar... lol

Same here.
Wifey is Ohio State alum so we watch that game at 9:30am out here, directly followed by ND at 12:30. By 3:30 it's time to relax and enjoy the rest of the Saturday.
I hate waiting all day for the game!

That's the problem. You jokers are on western time. Us civilized people are used to waiting for 3:30, so going until 7:30 isn't such a big deal. I imagine going from 12:30 to 5:00 seems much more drastic.

I can't even imagine watching NFL games at 10:00. Wtf?

Ah the benefit of being on the west coast. I only have to make it to 430 and considering tonight I'll be toasting the town I probably won't wake up tomorrow until around 2

I have small children which means (while I might have CFB on in the background) I don't clear a whole day of kid-related activities just to watch television.

But I have always preferred early games. The best part of living on West Coast must be the early start times for all the national sporting events.

Exactly the opposite for me. Eastern time solves both the problem of night games and children. My daughter is in bed at 7:00 so after that my time is my own.

Isn't the east coast the ones with 10:00 PM games?? I love the fact that I don't miss out on late Pac 12 games, those are on literally until i get into bed most Saturday nights.

This should be noted as night games for me aren't nearly as late for others. 4-5 comes really quick.
