Would be awesome. Potentially Griffin could snag a spot before Sawyers has a chance to visit. But what you've got there is the most probable "good" outcome right now.

As long as we get 1 of Griffin / Saywers to go with Cage (who is looking more and more likely) I am going to be very happy with our up and down at DT.
Alexander is the biggest single want on my board. And despite all that's gone on, I still think we do get McKenzie in the end.

Your original prediction leaves us with a 264.88 team score on 24/7. That still leaves us in 8th place behind Auburn (all other things equal).
With Griffin instead of Sawyers we have a 264.69 team score, still good for 8th place.
For reference, both of those scores would have put us in 10th overall last year.

Yea, I feel like Griffin and Cage's recruitment could end before Sawyers even gets to campus. And while I like Sawyers I'd very happy with that.

DT recruiting shouldn't have an effect on Yeargin.
Lax has said this before and I agree with him. Yeargin's value and a prospect is from his versatility. He's played Safety and DE for his high school team (I believe) and could conceivably play any of our LB positions. But with the addition of Kolin Hill (one of our top 5 recruits this year IMO) and Morgan/Sykes combo, he's become more of a luxury as he doesn't fit any single LB profile perfectly. But with his experience as a DB, I could see him fitting into a DOG nicely.
Does he stay? I have no idea. Do I hope he does? Yes. Will I lose sleep if he doesn't stick? No.

I'll never lose sleep over recruiting. Thankfully, I've moved beyond that-lol!
I realize that Yeargin has nothing to do with DT recruiting. I just want the class to stay intact and there is a possibility that ND could finally make the magic, dare I say it, 85.
I also appreciate Lax's insight, but really, he's an ex- lacrosse player living in Reston.... Haha. Really though-the staff recruited him and they want him. That's enough for me to keep wanting him. The Morgan - Sykes combo is the one that really gives me a chub. Hopefully it'll make up for the past Illinois connection I loved (that never panned out), Fleming - Filer.

I think they'd take 5 if it was the right 5. CBK has said that the max we would take is 27, and 5 would put us there. But more recently he has been saying that he wants to take 4 more.

The number is 4 but like Emcee said if we get Griffin, Cage, and Mckenzie prior to NSD and then Quick and JuJu want in I think we'd take them both and figure it out later.

Seems like we have a bunch of guys who are planning on announcing on NSD (Alexander, Cage, Quick and Smith that I know of). That could make for either a great or lousy day. Guess who won't be very productive at the office.

TV update:
-Loy and Wiltfong don't feel good about Cage and ND at this point, visit starts tomorrow but he really hasn't shown that much interest. (I mean he is visiting, isn't that interest enough?)
-BK and Alford visiting McKensie Wednesday, night after Muschamp
-Kelly and BVG to visit Pete Mokwuah on Friday
-Ole Miss is all in on Alexander, will be a fight
- Still like ND for Quick though it is a coin flip
-ND or Cal for Griffin

Seems like we usually make up a lot of ground once we get a player on campus so hopefully that applies for Cage as well. I've heard Alexander mention ND and Stanford in interviews/articles, but not so much with Ole Miss. Hopefully we can go 2 for 2 this year against them on the trail.

Set up a mid-week visit and has mentioned multiple times about being very interested in ND early but we didn't recruit him... very weird that they'd call that "not showing much interest." Hope he has a good visit.

I don't care what anyone says about his interest level. When you step foot on ND's campus it gets you. We'll see if the vibe hits Cage like it did me in 1990.

Yeah, I thought it was weird too ... specifically TV said that he isn't being very communicative with ND's staff when it has reached out ... but does that really mean he isn't interested? It might just meant that he isn't big on small talk with grown men and would rather save the important conversations for the visit. I mean, like GITF said, he is visiting, isn't he? Some guys just don't have a lot to say. I guess I'm still holding out hope on Cage.
