The only schools I'm even partially concerned about long term would be USC and Stanford if they jump into the race and put up like 12-0 seasons with Notre Dame tanking unexpectedly or Kelly leaving for some reason. It's going to take an absolutely insane confluence of unfortunate circumstances for Barnett not to end up at ND.

I hope he's an active recruiter for us because he seems to have some real charisma, and the 2015 class could be special for us if we can get in on some skill players.

He's already taken a serious leadership role for this class. I mean, we've seen that blow up before (Bang Bang!) but Blake is different. All of the guys currently committed are special. It will take virtual acts of God to shake two of them, and the third is a Notre Dame guy through and through with a Notre Dame family but will obviously have a LOT of pressure locally so anything is possible but I would be floored to see him defect as well.

Seriously though this is really not one we're going to have to worry about unless shit absolutely hits the fan. For him to even seriously consider going anywhere but ND it's going to take Kelly leaving or everything going to total hell with the worst season since 2007 with a horrendous offense. Don't worry, I just knocked on wood because this is Notre Dame after all where crazy crap and Murphy's Law strike hard and frequently.

Don't get me wrong, Michigan coaches are GREAT recruiters... I mean they have to be to sign recruits despite sucking on the field, having a horrendous head coach who is soon to be fired, etc. They also clearly will make a push for Barnett to visit as is apparent by already being out at his school for a "bump" visit. I just don't see him going anywhere as long as Kelly is the coach and the offense performs as expected this year.

Michigan reporters clearly giving him leading questions to get some of the responses they're getting, no different than how ND reporters do the same, and so do all other reporters. From what I know of Blake, I'll be absolutely shocked baring cataclysmic BS if he doesn't sign with Notre Dame. You're going to see a lot of articles like the Scout one and this one from 247: Blake Barnett Offer Reaction where he says "blah blah blah Michigan is great blah blah blah not taking any visits except to ND."

The only offers I could potentially see shaking things up would be Stanford and USC if they had awesome seasons and ND went in the tank against a tough schedule.

Blake is just hearing the various pitches of the different programs so he can help recruit against them. He could be a huge catalyst on the recruitment of the 2015 class...IMO
