Of course you neocons think the coolest town in Texas is a mess. It's only the nicest place to live, the best nightlife and the highest percentage of educated people in the state.

You guys have fun watching monster truck rallies in Amarillo like poors. I'll go visit Vuce and get BBQ at a cool ass bar on 6th St while listening to some of the best music in the country.

Sounds like a city wizard would love to buy a house in

The Shag is saying Nickelson was back at practice, and Shackelford is at 90%, so there's a good chance both will end up playing. Shackelford is still a freshman, but it would have been nicer to play against a 2nd stringer.

Getting anxiously nervous for this game. Plan on making it to Austin for the game scene. Hoping we don't screw this game up.

Heard, Locksley now both WRs?

Double WR toss-pass coming...

Locksley was never going to develop into a QB. Most recruited him as an Athlete. Buechele (Fresh) beat Heard out for second string. Sam Ehlinger ('17) is a good commit for them, and may end up third string next year. They now have fifteen wide receivers with Heard and Locksley just learning the position.

That's what it's sounding like, although either way there's going to be at least one freshman on their line it looks like.

I also don't buy that they are both 100%. They weren't in a good spot with a healthy oline. Missing those two guys would be a disaster. Best case scenario for them is that they are willing to play banged up. It's too big of a game for them to just roll over.

We gonna eat.

What a joke. The writer of that article is clearly a UT homer. I don't care if someone wants to predict a UT win, but at least use real reasons for the thought. I mean, anybody paying attention to their team wouldn't use the reason of their oline as a reason for hope. Lol

This is the best O line in the Charlie Strong era, and it should be able to wear down the Irish as the game goes on.

Considering our front four is bigger, stronger and simply better players... I find it hard to believe that their injured, young and inexperienced band of misfits are going to "wear us down".

That is where he lost me. Our strength should be our run defense this year. I pray for the life of the young center that has to go against a hopefully motivated Jarron Jones.

That wasn't even the most egregious part to me. I can kind of understand being optimistic about their OL and RB's against our DL (though we know first-hand that it's silly to take an "improved" but young OL against our behemoth, built-to-stop-the-run DL).

This got me:

Both running games will effectively cancel each other out – they’ll both work. The difference will be the secondaries with Texas doing a far better job than Notre Dame in key moments.

I *understand* that reasoning.... but it's ignoring the fact that Texas needs a QB that can actually take advantage of our secondary, and counting on the fact that Texas' secondary is so good that Kizer/Zaire get held in check.

Definite homer. Ignoring Texas' glaring issues and discounting ND as much as possible haha.
