I felt terribly about this game at the beginning of the week, but I've felt better as the week has progressed.

1) I'm assuming OK wont be able to the run the ball. They couldn't last year at all against us, and our Run D has been good all year long.

2) For some reason I'm confident our run game gets it going this week. Should be some holes in OK's 3-3-5 and its not like Big 12 teams are known for their D.

3) Bell's first road start.

I just think if we can pound the ball, eat some clock, and win the occasional 1-on-1 matchup with Jones and Daniels, then we will be able to move the ball well. I think the D will give up yards, but get OK off the field for the most part. I'm thinking a 24-16 game for some reason, but watch them blow us out by 20 and have me look like an idiot.

Our running game as the potential to do something if and only if Kelly sticks the pistol formation up Martins @$$. We run the pistol the running game will be non existent again. I've made it very clear that I am 100% down on the pistol but it makes everything around the run game a challenge.

I disagree. The pistol has several advantages, its just that TR is not a threat to run. IMO if we had 2 Rbs in there it would work better. Then if you have to check out, one can be Amir or Folston out to the Z and one can be a threat up the gut still leaving 2 WRs and Niklas.

We saw it a couple of times with the sweeps in the MSU. I believe one time was with GAIII motioning left and Amir was in the backfield. Another time I remember it being a WR sweeping.

This is one of the worst threads I have ever seen...IDK why I even bothered going in.

Coach Kelly

"Have you ever met my friend coach Kelly's mom? She's the biggest bitch in the whole wide world!"

Way to perpetuate stereotypes Soonerfan...

(that being said, OU fans have been great for the most part around here.)

It's just their version of caption/ gameday build up... I don't think it's anything more than fans being silly... meaning I don't think it is anything we should get up in arms about...

I've been to Norman more than once, and married into an OU family... generally really good people.

I'm sure The Abner or Coach's were not very happy places in general after last year's game.

I live outside of Tulsa and went to the game last year in Norman. First of all I have to saying was the sweetest victory I can remember for quite some time mostly due to personal reasons of living in Oklahoma now and being given a hard time about being an Irish fan. But I have to say without a doubt the OU fans treated me great at the game, and were very classy. After the game they weren't quite as happy to have me there. But no one was rude or obnoxious. Had some good conversations about the game and who as going to win and why. Talked a OU student and basically told him how the game was going to go and why. I was pretty spot on thanks to the knowledge I gained from IE. The best part was the noise level and the alma mater sung after the game. Not so confident this year. Hoping for some home crowd mojo and a good to great game for us to pull off a win.

My concern is that, last year, the Oklahoma win was really about 3 plays: the Manti interception, the Cierre run up the middle and the Chris Brown bomb.

I'm not saying that these can't happen again, but given how we've played the last 3 games they seem much more unlikely.

Dude. That's like. Football.

Defining moments happen every game.

Even in rompings. Like the Alabama punt muff, for example.

A) Defining moments. They happen. AND of course anything can. The reason last years seem so incredulously impossible this year is because the are last years. Those weren't "shots at glory," they were best efforts that turned out much better than expected. There will be others this year. It is like shooting at the side of a barn. Three shots hit close, okay draw a circle around them. Will three shots hit there again? Probably not. But it doesn't mean three shots won't his close together somewhere else, like in "2013 OK."

B) I had to repeat this. I have a friend who is on ISD who is enamored with Sean Mele, over there who does a weekly breakdown of the games. My friend thinks Sean figured out the problem with the running game. I think my friend is right about Sean, and Sean is right about the running game.

Remember after the MSU game when Kelly said that the running game problems weren't just on the interior linemen? To really oversimplify on certain formations ND only ran certain directions until MSU. Cam's longest runs came off of running against the power, which was a break in tendency.

Also Tarean Folston's best run he bounced away from the safety he saw lurking to the left, which happened to be the power side, so the run ran away from that to the other side.

Also, our running has devolved through happenstance to run at a numeric advantage of the opponent. However you want to say it. The majority of the running plays Saturday against MSU were run against numeric superiority. Tendencies changed three times in the game for our best three runs.

And we are not getting hung up on the double teams anywhere near as much anymore, and are starting to get to the second level. If anything, too quickly. They will get balance. This is exciting!

If the coaches design a running game around play action and establishing numerical superiority, we will grow a running game out of nowhere and help our passing game!

Right...that's, like, my point. I'm concerned that we won't have these types of defining moments in our favor.

Trust me, I hope I'm wrong and that you're right on this one.

Step back from the kool-aid, buddy. Blake Bell is 6'6'' 252 lbs. You think our defense is gonna be able to take him down in his own endzone?

Lol well played. ACramps needs pickle juice.

In fact, Irish Chocolate may become a term in which Blake Bell and his washing machine come to have nightmares about.

"Oh look, he Irish Chocolated his drawers from that back breaking sack!"

Irish fans clearly don't understand what sort of QB we'll be facing this Saturday:

You're right of course, even if they trip Bell up at the 1 he'll just fall forward 99 yards for the TD...

I was thinking more of a bad snap ono a punt... BOOM

I hope there aren't Notre Dame sites with a similar, shall we call it, flavor pertaining to ND's coming opponents. That's an embarrassment to Sooner fans. Of course, the irony is that Coach Stoops is Catholic, too.

I agree we may say some dumb things but never this bad.
