You hammered a navy team the first week, that was embarrassed by Ped. State University last week, Air Force this year>>>>>>>Navy this year.

Trust me I'm not happy about our OOC schedule, and if we could go independent and play anyone we want and automatically get to a BCS bowl if we go 10-2 we would probably schedule like you do as well.

Obviously AF was going to run all over us, thats all they do, and again...no way to prepare for that effectively in less than a week with as many new starters as we have. Umass only had success running when our reserves were in for the most part, also they continued to run to the side of the field that we had a 3rd string linebacker playing on due to injury, so that really does not concern me. 112 yds. on 36 attempts. Meh.

Jealous? Of what exactly?

My comment about you squabbling around for change because Bama took your lunch money was based on this season alone. I don't care that you beat an over-rated VaTech or that you have a solid recent recruiting history and current class (we've been there, see Charlie Weis).

Your team just does not look polished since they took that beating and honestly all I hear from you are excuses that keep you from admitting that. It was humbling and it showed against AF. This Michigan team is a one trick pony. How long has Hoke had to create some sort of identity other than Denard? Where would your team be if he went down? Answer that.

If Denard went down for an extended time, Michigan would become MSU lite. They would run Touissant and Smith at the line on first and second down, and then run play action/high percentage pass plays to make it easier on Gardner or whoever the backup is. They would become very vanilla.

of course they do not looked polished...its the 4th game of the season. No team is "polished" by now. I guess if ND is, then they will be eventual national champions cause not even Nick Saban or Les Miles has thier teams "polished" as of now.

I am not making excuses. I am providing fact based analysis, that most, if not all media and fans in college football agree with or have stated the same facts. Excuses are statements that absolve mistake, mistakes were not the problem in the Bama game, the problem was the talent gap.

Hoke has had one true class of his own, and he right now (as I have said before) has the number 2 class in the nation, may be number 1. He has recruited his first QB (one of the best in the nation) and has started to stock the pantries on the lines and in the WR, LB, and RB corps. Hoke will get his boys, and in 2 more seasons if they are not successful, I have no problem admitting I was completely wrong. And if Denard went down...we go on to our next QB who is just as capable of a runner and passer, and probably would have been a better QB than shoelace if he would have been provided the playing time denard has been provided. So we would probably be about the same team, with a better passer and maybe a little slower runner in a QB?

Really? Coach Hoke, or Dave Brandon comes out and says ND playing Navy is a joke? Or are you lumping all Michigan fans together? Maybe I should lump all ND fans together? If you're going to talk to me, please read my other posts, don't just jump on the all M fans say this. That's dumb, and so are those comments and they provide no insight.

They do beat everyone like that, except Michigan scored on them.

scoreboard

2010 2011, pay close attention to the defensive numbers they seem to be improving. Judging by your posts stats are not your thing

. . .

According to this list, they do not.

Really? I'm supposed to sit on this forum all day? Also, I provided a biased link, not just throwing a number and a few positions of players who you thought played well that day. Thanks for playing.

Hey Walmart man. Do not come to this board and disrespect my friends. If a ND fan went to a Michigan board and did that everyone would call him a dick.

And only an idiot fool would find a senior list of players expected in this years draft (RIGHT THERE IN THE TITLE IT SAYS 2013 DRAFT, it is only those guys expected to come out this year, so you can take your F5 key and shove it!) and consider it a complete list of draftworthy players, and leave at least Russel and Allen off!

So which is it? Dick, or idiot fool.

Purdue and MSU both have better defenses than your w's. You will get a chance to see.

Michigan fans on other sights are saying that our Dline isnt that good and we wont beable to stop their run game. Their defense is going to pressure EG, and stuff our run. They also are saying our secondary sucks. lol do they watch football?

One guy also told me that Aaron Lynch was the only ND player to give them problems last season....except for the fact he didnt play against UM lol

Can you post a link to these sites or specific convos? I would be interested to read them, I am a member of all the prominent Michigan football discussion sites and have seen nothing of the sort said...

So after a fact based analysis you come up with:

a) Bama was just too good to measure your team against. But they weren't even polished? I wonder what they would have done if they were polished.

b) There is no way, absolutely no way, Mattison could prepare for Air Force's gouging attack in 6 days. So how could one judge your team?

c) UMASS = basically subdivision, so again, you cannot fairly judge your team.

Those sound like excuses to me.

Listen man, I'd be happier with ND and Michigan being great teams again and the SEC imploding. I'm sure it will be be hell of an atmosphere and exciting for the players. But after my fact based analysis I have concluded that ND will own the trenches and aim to disable Michigan's only threat.

I do hope you beat the **** out of tOSU though. **** Urban.

They'll continue to rationalize. Get used to it. I live in Ann Arbor and trust me, many Michigan fans still don't get that they aren't "back". Talk is cheap and they love to talk.

Denard is the wild card... but I expect us to put on a clinic on Saturday night. Let's let it unfold on the field and we can talk about it on Sunday.

During his 8 years on ND's defensive staff they played a triple option team 13 different times (15 if you add Nebraska's option offense under Solich) including Air Force twice. And this guy is really trying to argue that UM's defense couldn't be coached to figure out how to defend the basic principles of the option? And with such amazing UM defensive personnel? Um, yeah, ok.
