Why don’t we just go take Russia? Honest question.

They want to play bullie, that’s cool. Just eliminate them.

Because we can't eliminate a country with thousands of nuclear weapons, including ICBM's...without eliminating ourselves.

And even if Russia doesn't launch, we struggled to tame Iraq and Afghanistan...now try to tame a country like Russia lol. It ain't worth the effort.

Russia is a country that has never been tamed by anyone other than their own. How many Americans are you willing to sacrifice to "eliminate" Russia? If your sons/grandsons aren't among those, then it ain't worth it. If they are, then you aren't thinking clearly.

Idk about you but getting nightly news reports about hundreds of American young men dying daily doesn't sound tolerable.

Calling this genocide is silly. Russia isn't trying to eliminate Ukraine's people. Germany had plans to all but eliminate Poles and other Slavs. Russia doesn't want to kill or enslave 40 million people. They want to bring Ukraine back into Russia or dominate or neuter them.

Maybe a Vietnam vet knows a bit about shooting people in villages though.

Call Putin and Russians whatever you want. This ain't our fight. Hope they make a deal. But the American people aren't worth the price of fixing it.

I had a BnL that served in Viet Name for three years. Stationed in Da Nang, so I got my share of first hand stories. With your logic everyone that served in Viet Nam killed civilians and soldiers didn't care if a few friendlies got in the way. Not everyone who served in Viet Nam fired a weapon and not everyone who fired a weapon killed civilians. Not everyone who served in Viet Nam is happy about their experience. Many who served were drafted and didn't volunteer to go kill everything in sight.

Sometimes being the toughest kid in the neighborhood means you defend somebody who's getting bullied, even if it gains you absolutely nothing and might even cost you. You just do it because nobody else can, it's the right thing to do, and because it's what makes us men and separates us from the betas.

Idk how long Mariupol can hold out, but if they could lift that siege that would be a much bigger failure for Russia than not being able to take Kyiv. They wanna control that coast between Crimea and Donbas so bad.
