Either he knows and it's good news (his pic still has the ND uni on), or he doesn't know.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>We the best ever. </p>— Toot Daddy Fresh™ (@DaVarisDaniels) <a href="https://twitter.com/DaVarisDaniels/status/518885825405521920">October 5, 2014</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Could be about the hearing, or about the Colts (believe are his favourite team), or about that PE team he's coaching.

Discuss.

It was about the interhall team he coaches... They beat the defending champs today.

On a side note, the girls squad I coach got blown out. Bad.

Sorry if already posted.

Notre Dame re-iterated that it is willing to self-sanction its football program should any of the No. 6 Fighting Irish's five suspended players be determined to have been ineligible during past competition.

The school released a statement Sunday saying that the hearings for the players were completed Friday, and that decisions will be communicated to affected student-athletes as deliberations conclude.

The school also said that it will not disclose the results, although affected students may if they wish to do so.

"If it is determined that student-athletes would have been ineligible during past competition, Notre Dame will voluntarily impose appropriate sanctions, report our findings to the NCAA, and await its independent review," Paul J. Browne, vice president for public affairs and communications, said in the release.

The school acknowledged the potential difficulty that its honor code process can cause students, regardless of culpability, and said it is working to resolve such situations.

Notre Dame described the atypical nature of this investigation.

"Due to the complexity of cases involving multiple disciplines, comprehensive honesty committees were impaneled to review memoranda and extensive exhibits compiled in connection with the general counsel's initial inquiry, interview witnesses and the subjects of the hearings, and potentially impose sanctions subject to appeal," Browne said in the release. "A faculty reporter was also appointed to review voluminous material collected during the general counsel's investigation to identify cases for the comprehensive committees' review."

Notre Dame had announced Aug. 15 that it was withholding DaVaris Daniels, Ishaq Williams, Kendall Moore and KeiVarae Russell from practices and games as it investigated academic misconduct. The school later announced, on Aug. 28, that Eilar Hardy would be withheld as well, and coach Brian Kelly said that same day that the investigation was complete.

The school had said that its office of general counsel initiated an immediate investigation when the compliance office was referred to evidence July 29. The five suspended players attend classes and have been welcomed back into the football complex, are dining with teammates and working out with Irish strength and conditioning coach Paul Longo.

Kelly has chosen all along to keep the players out of team meetings.

So with the mention again of self sanctions, and a few bringing back up possibly vacating wins, who things we will end up self sanctioning ourselves with a bowl ban?

I almost expect it now. The frozen five has yet to cost us a game. We are climbing the rankings and our football program controls it's own destiny. Or does it? The administration can decide to seize that control.

Interesting that this weekends message was such a poignant reminder of the problems that "could have been."

Had an interesting talk with my friend that is fairly active and a senior alum. (I believe he was hired as a freshman football coach by Terry Brennan a week or two before Brennan was fired in the Christmas Eve massacre.) He said he had all the names of everybody involved in this and was ready to start contacting them as soon as he heard the results of the investigation.

I have no idea of all this means, except that I think he is expecting none to be dismissed.

Sorry if this has already been posted in this thread (too much to try and filter thru and read)....but I have a question that I hope someone on here can answer....It goes without saying that of course we want our "Fab Five" cleared for a multitude of reasons (eligibility, not vacating wins, tarnishing the program, that they can eventually graduate with a degree from ND, etc, etc...) but if they're not c;eared and are suspended even longer, could it POSSIBLY be a good thing for the team in the long run?? We have guys that have blended very well together, have that in-game team chemistry, learning one another's tendencies (strength's and weaknesses), and that even if these guys came back this week or next week, they wouldnt be up to Week 7 or 8 "game speed"....after we destroy N.C. this week, we have the reigning and defending Nat'l Champs the following Saturday.....would those fab five be ready for that? Or would it be better, team -wise, to not rock the boat on chemistry and the intangibles and intricate nuances of the game to not have these guys comeback until AFTER the FSU game? Sorry for the loaded post with circular questions.....but there's a lot that goes into just wanting these guys back with the team versus what might actually be the best thing in the long run and maybe we shldnt rush them on the field, as it could, in theory, do more harm than good....call me stupid or whatever...just thought I'd ask the questions and get some other ppl's thoughts on the subject....

Yeah, if the guys were to come back I'd rather it be this week and not next week. Might be hard to step into FSU without any live game reps, so NC would be a nice tune up game for any guys that would/could be cleared. You make a valid point about the team blending together up to this point, but I think we could drop in Russell, Ishaaq, and Daniels without missing a beat. It's not like any of those guys are directing traffic or running the offense/defense. They would just have to play their role and carry out their responsibilities. The added depth would help give guys like Fuller a break, and we may need Russell to cover some of the better WR's we'll be facing in the coming weeks.

Guys I love how Farley's playing, but FSU will have their way with him in the slot and crossing routes.

I also now believe it's a no brainer to bring him back next year.

I'm all in on Farley against TEs, as a blitzer, and close to the ball tackler, but we need KVR back IMO against FSU.

DDs the most important one at this point IMO. Our offense can't continue to lean on such a young defense to win.

The players are free to discuss the results of the hearing. The University wont be revealing the results. This is absurd. If they are guilty or innocent a PR from the University should be the proper format.

If the players know, why no chatter from them. I suspect they do not know anything yet. Still waiting on other hearings? This is infuriating.

I'm not 100% certain they school's even made decisions yet. That was just how I interpreted that purposely stuipidly written statement.

That presser was written by a PAB. Totally scared to come out with it.

I have to go see my friend and doctor today who also happens to be a Michigan grad. It would be great to talk about who he thinks is going to replace Hoke, how bad their loss was, how good our win was and about getting our guys back.....We need some news!

Well all we know is that the hearings are over. That the university won't talk about them and the players are free to talk about them. I see nothing about a decision in that at all. The hearings took place, the hearings are over and the decision is yet to come.

That the university released its statement over the weekend leads me to believe that the results might be in by the end of today.

Otherwise, I would think they would've released the statement during regular business hours today.

Being a Catholic university I'd say Sunday is the MOST regular business day. :)
